haven't been able to eat enough!

Hi there! I've recently fallen on some tough times... my food is mostly from the foodbank right now, and I'm having the opposite problem that I usually do; I'm not getting enough to eat! many days I get that little warning on the bottom of the screen that says I am not getting enough calories. Worse yet, I feel like it is affecting me mentally, and physically in very negative ways. I don't feel mentally as sharp, and I am having difficulty finding the energy to even get out of bed and make myself breakfast! Is there a way of preventing yourself from going into this starvation mode when you don't have quite enough to eat?

Sorry to hear about your hard times. Could you apply for food stamps?

I agree with mbowman323, if you haven't already applied for foodstamps, make that a priority to do. There is no shame in asking for help! I work at a food pantry, don't be shy to ask them for something like Peanut butter if you don't see it out. Sometimes we have things that don't make it out for whatever reason, but if someone asks we are willing to check to see if we have it to meet his/her need. Peanut butter is a great way to get more calories as well as a good source of protein, also PB has the good fats our bodies need. It's hard when you don't have enough but hang in there! you can put the PB on almost anything or just eat it off the spoon! (That is my grandsons fav way to eat it!! LOL)
