I'm sorry you lost your father. :(

Rabbi Ari Enkin wrote: "Although the Torah clearly prohibits the consumption of worms, or all other insects for that matter, there are, however, some interesting exceptions to the rule. The Torah’s prohibition on consuming insects applies only to those things that “live in the seas and in the streams”, “fly in the air” and…

Waaaalllll, I am old enough to be grandma to many of you, but . . . . Around the house and about town, I wear jeans (black or blue) with long sleeved shirts, mainly very thin turtlenecks of solid bright colors, black, or white. Attending synagogue, I wear suits -- several nice suit jackets with dress pants. No more heels…

Chose some books out of our own library. I have cataracts, so my reading time is precious little, because it is so difficult. Two "Pogo" books, because Father read Pogo every day in the comics in the 1950s. The authort wrote mainly political satire for the comics in the newspapers then. And I am looking over three…

Warning. Seriously. You may not want to read this. You may not want to know this. Re bugs in food: @http://www.livescience.com/36292-red-food-dye-bugs-cochineal-carmine.html Some bugs are actually kosher! This one is not.…

I lost 123 pounds and exercised only once throughout the loss -- one time when I thought I would continue but didn't. Now, I am ridiculously weak and without muscle. Someone up there ^^ said to exercise for strength. They are right. I fear that those who exercise for weight loss will be very disappointed, but if you want…

I am not a fan of "breakfast food," except as a treat for dinner. I usually eat left overs for breakfast. Today, however, I had a Costco chicken & Swiss roller.

Daily, if I think of it. My weight stays basically the same, so I don't know why I bother. But I'm scared to death of getting fat again!
-
Hee-hee-hee! I intended when you wrote, "Just a note, people often blame the last thing they ate, however, food poisoning wouldn't hit that quickly. It may still have been food poisoning but not likely from the In and Out."

Now, that's a thought, @3dogsrunning

. . . And I hope that the restaurant has heard from you.

Downhill skiing. I never got off the baby hill. I would prefer sitting inside with hot cocoa, watching. Playing soft ball and having to run the bases. Or was it just that I'm not athletic? Being the fat lady who sang. You know: "It's not over until the fat lady sings." I never sing publicly since I lost the weight. Maybe…

Yes -- I am just really anal about seeing the info there when the day is through. It's like I am back in school, and I want to see my grade. Sometimes!

Widowed at age 27, I found the dating scene entirely annoying. After a short try, I gave up, because I saw I would be happier single, concentrating upon my two children. That lasted 9 years, then an old friend from my teens was widowed. Married him a year later. We ended up individually parenting our own children, while we…

It's hard to just silently carry something like that.

I have carpool tunnel syndrome. There's no excaping it, expecially since I have to crank the wheel so sharply to get into the expresso line on the way to work, cause everyone wants coffee.

Thank you, all. My hands are better. Not through with this peeling, but better.

Oh, Cutaway. I am so sorry.

I'm a bit anal about tracking, because I am on insulin by necessity. Things were going downhill fast before I started taking insulin, even though I'd lost @123 pounds and was down to a eight of 113. Also, I am very undisciplined, so I have to see what I'm doing by tracking it here. I have to see the blood/glucose numbers…

I guess what bothers me is this: while I haven't been as sick as @heyitslexi95 -- to have lost the food -- it seems like a minor predicament I get in when I don't feel like eating all my prescribed calories. If I'd been as sick as Lexi was, I would just erase that food from my day. What would likely happen, since I would…

Was at the doctor's office the other day. The lady who was doing my write-up asked me, "How tall are you?" I responded, "5' 3" or so." She just stared at me. "Well," I responded to her silence and the other two ladies' amused looks, "I was 5' 4.5" last time I was measured." She asked, "When was that?" I said, "In high…

Fabulous, fabulous you! Love it! Hee-hee! Have you had anyone say something like this to you yet? "What would you know about being overweight? -- Skinny little you!" You will!

Why do we all give so much power to strangers, especially lying, rude strangers?

I'm a lazy bum. I like foods I can just go to the 'fridge, put on a plate, and eat. So I have to be very careful not to eat junk. I love my healthy stuff, however, and I get moody when I eat junk -- and admittedly, I've eaten junk for the last two weeks or so. Yesterday, we went to the grocery store and stocked up on the…

I track my blood/sugars, too, using MFP to do it. As suggested, I use the notes to do it. I also changed the three meals to times of eating ("12 a.m. - 11:59 a.m."; "12 p.m. - 4:49 p.m."; and "5 p.m. - 11:59 p.m.")

The disrespect strangers appeared to have toward me. My disrespect for myself. Wondering why public bathroom stall doors opened inward, making it very hard to maneuver around them. Eating in public -- feeling like I did not deserve to eat, like I did not deserve to fulfill this most basic of human needs. That even I, being…

My salads have to also have toasted nuts. Also, that wonderful vegie, fennel! And @Redhededkewty 's too-often forgotten root vegetable -- jicama. And is a salad legitimate without avocado?

After all my bluster here about no cheat days, I am tired. If I were still trying to lose weight, it would be different, but I'm feeling resistant to my nutritionist wanting me to gain a little weight, so I'm tired. Tired of the constant keeping account. The junk food I've been eating lately is probably what is making me…

Oh, thank you, @dykask . :)
