  • I used to feel this too - I figured my abs were 'cheating' somehow and making my neck do all the work? :ohwell: How I go around this was to do lots of other ab/ core exercises - yoga and pilates style things that work the mid section without necessarily being a 'military/ PE style' sit up. Maybe by investigating plenty of…
  • Be proud - 'discovering' fitness should be done asap. Being 17 you've got a lifetime of good habits to develop. Good luck. :)
  • Exactly the right post at the right time! (If only I could be bothered to do it for myself! Avocado on Turkish bread for tea tonight I think!)
  • Bahaha, I always answer Drew for this question! (Charlie's Angels' style... )
  • What, like spanx or similar 'suckyergutsin' undies?
  • Hello, and thanks for the add - great to meet another Aussie! All the best and welcome to the site, it really is a very useful tool.
  • Sounds good, I'm thinking youtube maybe a useful tool here!
  • LOL, Convict Conditioning - a name very appealing for an Australian of British descent  Have to check it out, thanks for the heads up :flowerforyou:
  • No need to be overwhemled... Or underwhemled... You can just be 'whemled'? As corny as it sounds, if you are interested in losing weight or toning up, this is a really useful tool. There are heaps of message boards to trawl thru, and I haven't spoken to a negative member yet. Take the time to look around, talk to people,…

  • Love that baby is basically in the same position in both pics! Classic! Also, congratulations - I hope I can get anywhere near the numbers you did! Well done :)
  • dr0p4ah0y - I'm on day 3 of 30 DS... And I'm trying to lose about 20lbs  I started it becuase I read/ saw so many great things on this site about the 'programme' (I'm not following the JM eating plan.) Although I want to lose 'weight', I'm more interested in toning and increasing fitness, losing inches etc. Good…
  • The only mirror in our house used to be in the bathroom! I've since brought some 'long, skinny' mirrors and placed in hallway etc to 'create the illusion of space' - but you also walk past the beggars several times daily! My mum's old house had huge mirrors everywhere! It was a very good source of motivation....!
  • Gah, saw it before your post - monkey see, monkey do. I'm blaming it on being on nightshift. :noway:
  • St Paddie's (= 'Stralian, we always knock words short  ) in years' past was a 16 hr or so blinder! Remember waking up one year with bruises on the back of my legs that were replicas of the stool I'd been perched upon! :drinker: Working this weekend  but sure I'll have a brew or too on knock off!
  • I actually think it might be a little bit painful to cancel - they were prompt and polite with my email querie, even offered me a discounted membership. But to actually cancel I need to call their number (in The States, of course) during office hours etc. I tried it a few minutes ago and it didn't work! Clearly I need the…
  • I couldn't access because I don't have the password  But great numbers! Well done!
  • Okay, I'm Australian, I don't work in lbs, ft etc, but with the help of the almighty google, I think I'm doing this right! CW 150 (about 70kg) GW 120 (about 55kg) Apparently I'm 5'1" (although I use five foot nothing as an insult! HHhhmmm... Maybe I need to rethink that one!) When I was working in an extreme manual labour…
  • :smokin: I. Want. ...That's it, first thing after I knock off work this morning, going to Kmart to buy dvds... !
  • Yeah, that's what I'm kindof thinking. The site is very geared toward an American market, which doesn't help me much being in Australia! And I get all the tracking and web community-ness on here. *Aaaawwwwwh :blushing:
  • Thanks for the welcome, the praise/ advice and the 'friending'... Also to all the rest of you who have sent friend requests, thanks! :smooched:
  • Hey, cheers! This does seem to be a fairly close knit community. Thank you for the friend application

  • Hahaha, I'm pleased that you've posted this topic, I was just searching thru old posts to see if it had been covered before (although I am sure it has, probably billions of times :) ) My BMR is 1379, recommended calorie intake 1200... I've only just started adding my exercise in, there's no way I can 'eat back' (tho I…
