It costs your body a substantial amount of energy to digest your food; therefore you can't perform as good within a given timeframe after you ate (approx. 1h after a meal). But walking doesn't require much energy, so it doesn't really matter even if you'd eat during the walk..

Aren't your lanes divided incrementally from slow - fast lanes? During free swimming we also have two lanes at the outer right reserved as 'competition lanes' so we can swim at our own pace.

Feel free to add me if you think it helps you. I easily burn 1000 on weekdays. I think I had an average of 1200-ish last week.

Get off the serious sections & go to the chitchat section or just begone altogether.

For example: If you take a 30min brake during a 60min run (so in total you only ran for 30min), then obviously you should only log 30min. But I myself wouldn't be too bothered by if'd you only take a short brake for like 5-10min, unless you're very strict with your calories.

Same here in the Netherlands. I actually frown upon guys who wear board shorts to the pool. Same goes for bikinis. You just don't swim lanes in board shorts or in bikinis; it's weird.

If I'm in a hurry and need a quick meal before swimming (which is often), I make the following: 30gr whey (vanilla) protein powder 100gr ground oatmeal 500mL milk 20gr cacao powder Shake shake shake, boom! Cacao powder is excellent for a lower blood pressure as well! And is extremely rich on anti oxidants. Almonds are one of the best nuts, too. Nothing to argue on that!
