  • Amen! I think the original post was quite useless. Everyone burns calories on a different scale due to age, height, weight, etc. Not everyone does the same exercise exactly the same way. So keep your comments to yourself because a thread like this is doing more harm than good to those who really need this site as a…
  • I agree 100% and then some! This has been a tough one to overcome and I'm still working on it. It's not just for comments about weight. It can be a horrible boss at work or a co-worker who makes your life hell. It can be an ex who continues to 'get the best of you'. It can be your parents who are overpowering or even the…
  • Congrats to all of you who are buying new clothes!!!!!! You deserve a pat on the back. (hehe ... I can now actually reach my back - what about you?)
  • I recyle for now. I've given away or taken to charity shops all of my size 18s. Same with the 16s. I'm now going into the 14s. Yeah, baby. So by recycle, I mean I shop a lot at Goodwill or Thrift Shops.
  • So awesome - CONGRATS! You look great, and I'm sure you feel great, too. Keep up the great work!
  • Hey - I think I found your motivation. It was hiding behind that thing called life and the daily grind. But you know what? It's there. I had no self-discipline and zero motivation...until I was diagnosed with a rare condition. The neurologist said "lose weight" and we'll see if your eyesight can be saved. Uh, my motivation…
  • Wow! What a great job you're doing. You look great!!

  • What an AWESOME accomplishment, Tammy! You should be proud. Keep up the good work!!!
  • I didn't cut out cereal - in fact, I started eating strawberry mini shredded wheat as a meal (without milk). It's very filling and deters me from snacking.
  • Am right on track, maybe even a little ahead! I started losing weight kind of by accident due to a medication that didn't agree with my tummy. I dropped about 15 pounds in a month. So in all, since Christmas, I've lost a total of 41 pounds. That averages to about 2 pounds/week. In May alone, I only went down 8 pounds, but…
  • A body at rest stays at rest. A body in motion stays in motion.
  • I pack my lunch every night before I go to bed. It includes my breakfast, too. A normal day would be a Special K Strawberry Protein drink for breakfast, and then for lunch I'll have a salad, or a can of tuna and a few crackers, or a packet of microwave mashed potatoes (they're really good and only 100 calories). I also…
  • You are my hero!!! Your beginning/almost there stats are almost identical to mine, with the exception of the shoe size. And my girls aren't as big. Anyway, I'm half way to goal, now at 40 pounds lost. I love seeing before & after pics. I've posted my before pics and a couple 'during' pics. Care to share your secrets??…
  • Don't be discouraged because 'that number' isn't moving as quickly as you'd like. I jump on my scale just once per day - just as I'm about to get in the shower each morning. I've learned to never weigh myself throughout the day because it can fluxuate by as much as 3-5 pounds. If you're doing everything right (calories,…
  • You are my hero! Your weight loss is exactly where I'm headed, going from an 18 down to an 8-10. I'm almost halfway there. :) Congratulations on your great achievement!!
  • OMG - I laughed so hard at the parsley picture! LOL
  • Good luck to you! I'm losing weight to save my eyesight and have a healthier lifestyle. I was sedentary for so many years with no exercise at all. Now I workout 3 times per day (45 min before work and both 15 minute breaks) and I can't imagine not doing it.
  • How are you doing with your treatment of pseudotumor cerebri? I was just diagnosed last week. The headaches were horrible (brought tears to my eyes), sore neck, and visual impairment. My neurologist also told me to lose weight.
