Wow, that's helpful. Compression gear is totally the way to go! I love love love my Brooks compression shorts, and my Columbia compression tights. You just have to find a combination that keeps you comfy. Good luck!

You can log weight lifting under cardio. The calorie burns aren't very accurate though.

Lentils, beans, lean meats (tuna, chicken), buy things on sale, and stock up! I make chili and lots of soups at home, and this cuts on costs. Good luck!

I just eat what I can, and don't worry about the rest. I actually tend to eat them the day AFTER my long run. That's the day I tend to be hungrier. Like mlb929, I can't eat tat much after I run long distances.

Not trying to offend, or be a b*tch but sorry, I call BS. You CAN eat more than that, and it's not that hard. Some days, I eat over 2000 calories. Plan your food ahead of time, make meals for the whole week, eat calorie dense foods, peanut butter, avocado, nuts. 1200 is the bare minimum for a woman, let alone a man. My…

Why are you only eating 1200 calories a day? That seems like a really low number for a guy, especially since you don't have much to lose.

I am in the same boat as you. I'd like to lose another 2-5lbs, but really I just want the fat around my belly to be gone. My trainer told me that I need to cut out the long, endurance running, and just focus on lifting. Try cutting the cardio, and focus more on the weights and see if that changes anything.

Have you tried eating more? Maybe 1200 calories isn't enough food. Plus, this should be a lifestyle change. Are you going to want to drink shakes for the rest of your life?

So you are hoping to be hungry at the end of the day? If you are wanting to lose weight, you should count calories too. Just my two cents.

If you are starving, eat more. Eat more protein and fiber, it will keep you full longer. Eat your exercise calories, you will still lose weight, I did. Good luck!

Have you been resistance/strength training? And is your workout really only 8-10 minutes of running?

I'm 30, 5'4", and hovering between 127-128. I eat a base of 1600 to maintain, but end up eating anywhere from that to 2100 a day, with exercise. I always try to net at least 1300 (which is about my BMR) I have a desk job, but I run 3-4 days per week (an average of 5 miles per run) and lift 2 days a week. I've lost 50lbs.

How long have you been "changing" your diet? It can take weeks for your body to "respond" and for things to happen. I would fire your trainer, anyone who tells you to essentially starve yourself for three days may not know what they are doing.

Haha! This can't be true, I eat carbs all the time after 6pm, sometimes even in bed! (gasp!) And I am not fat. I plan to eat a crap ton (yes, this is a unit of measurement) of carbs on Friday, even after 6pm.
