I was 5'4" and pudgy. I no longer am. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/783130-update-over-a-year-on-mfp-and-over-50lbs-gone?page=1#posts-11658853 But I'd be happy to help you get un-pudgy!

Thanks!

Thank you! It's been hard, and I've gained back some when I wasn't watching my calories (vacation and whatnot.) Can't let those things bring you down!
-
Yep! It was a Halloween 5km race. Had to dress up!
-
You will! It just takes being consistent. You can do it.

Oh wow, for the record I am 31, but thanks for the compliment! It's nice to think I look that much younger!

Thanks everyone!

I'd eat close to your maintainence, or TDEE - 20%. You don't really need to lose more weight, just lose the fat. Try it for about a month and see how it goes. And you don't need to cut dairy, or yell at people on the internet. I've lost 4% body fat since I started lifting, and I've been eating more and I have dairy every…

You also aren't eating enough. You need to add fruits and veggies. Fiber and protein will help keep you fuller longer. Why is your calorie goal set so low? You should probably have your net set way higher than 1200.

I second this! I love love love runkeeper.

Rhymeoftheancientasshat I have a secret crush on him.

Not really, I just started eating more of the things I was already eating. I do try to hit at least 100g of protein a day. I also try to get at least 30g of fiber per day. I lift twice a week, and am currently training for a half marathon. I eat back my cardio calories. I'm pretty sure my diary is open, if you want to peek…

I'm not really sure how it works to tell you the truth, I just know for me it did. I was eating 1200 net, plateaued for about 8 weeks, upped my calories, and the weight started coming off again. Now I net anywhere from 1600-2200 a day, and I am still losing.
-
I found the closer I got to my goal the MORE I had to eat to lose. Sounds counter intuitive, but it worked for me. Edited to add: You aren't eating enough. Period. Plus you are seriously lacking in the protein dept. Cut out the crap and processed foods. Krispy creams aren't doing you any favors. Plus, it's really hard to…

^^^^ THIS!! Seriously, do what works for you, and don't worry about what other people are doing.

Hahahaha!

Your body does it's own detoxing...I'm not sure what "toxins" that concoction would cause your skin to release.... I'd just stick with drinking water.

I use this site to estimate my calories: http://nutritionfirstfitness.com/tools.php?tool=running

It seems like you have already formed an opinion on low carb diets, so I'm not sure why you are asking anyone else. If you want low carb food ideas or recipes, check out this blog: www.peaceloveandlowcarb.com I think eating a balanced healthy diet is a better approach than cutting out a single group.

Are you taking rest days? Your body needs days off to repair itself.
-
Then 1200 may be appropriate for you, for now. But keep in mind MFP wants you to eat your exercise calories and you should eat a little extra while you are still breast feeding. There will come a time when you will plateau, and 1200 will no longer work for you. Then you will need to eat more.
-
Thank you! I'd also like to add that eating 1200 calories per day is not sustainable long term for most people. The closer I got to my goal, the MORE I had to eat. Now I eat anywhere from 1600-2200 calories a day, and I continue to lose weight.
-
Le sigh....so true

You didn't gain the weight overnight, you aren't going to lose it overnight. Everyone is different, and loses weight differently. You are doing just fine, just keep making good food choices, exercise, and you will see results.

I eat back most of my exercise calories, and I've lost over 50lbs. You have to fuel your body. Someone with a lot of weight to lose can eat at a higher calorie deficit for a while. The closer you get to your goal weight, the smaller the deficit has to become. Try maybe eating back half of your calories, see how that goes.…

I second the why... I work out a lot, but I am training for a half marathon, normally it's 2-3x per week maybe 40 minutes. Plus, if you are working out that much, you need to EAT! 1100-1200 calories a day is not going to cut it. No wonder you are so tired in the evenings.

I almost caused a car accident today. This guy was too busy looking at me, and almost rear ended the person in front of him!

Oh god no, don't use the smith machine. Just squat weight you know you can squat without a spotter in the squat rack.
