One question..I am a stay at home mother of 3 and just can't go to a gym..what do you recommend for strength training at home? I currently to turbo jams which also includes a few days of toning using light weights so do I need more? My total loss includes about 4 lbs of lean and I DON'T want that..thanks.. By the way I am…

I have twin 3 year olds and totally understand being exhausted. There is NO WAY I could have worked out during their nap time when they slept I had to sleep. I would say work out to a DVD at home when the baby is awake and turn up the music. Babies LOVE music and watching mommy move in crazy ways will be entertainment. Put…

I also have an issue with my left knee. I have been told I have a shortened tendon due to streneous sports for so many years. My knee swells in the back and causes major pain but usually starts in the evening. I have noticed if I drink plenty of water it hurts a lot less or not at all. I can really tell the days I skip on…

LOL that was funny! No it's not a beer belly..believe it or not he doesn't really drink beer it's to expensive these days :)

Try a healthier french toast instead of pancakes...use wheat bread and egg whites and spray pan with pam (of course cinnamon and vanilla flavoring :) Instead of regular bacon make canadian bacon (mine is 70 calories in 3 slices). Use lite syrup or fruit (bananas and strawberries are my fav) and top with non fat whip…

I have lost 12 lbs and still wear the same size. I have noticed though that my muffin top in my size 12 (old navy sweetheart jeans) is completely gone in front and just a little left on my sides..

I agree with this..DH was a car hauler..3 weeks out 3-4 days in. When he was chaining the cars he never gained weight and actually lost a bit. Now he drives for Budweiser and just uses handtrucks and he is getting a truck driver belly :)

I literally LOL when I read that boob story. My 7 year old patted my tummy one day and said "Mommy your tummy is soft". I told her it was having her and her twin brothers :) But it won't be this "soft" forever!!

I have only been doing this for 2 months and work out 6 days a week at home. What keeps me motivated is the end result! I want to be healthy and look good and that is enough to make me get my butt up and exercise and log EVERY single calorie I put in my mouth!

I LOVE the P90X results and recovery formula. It can be ordered through Beachbody.com and I will tell you once I started drinking it I haven't had sore muscles the next day. It also taste like an orange push up ice cream

I also have an ap on my droid that has every restaurant I go to (except Stix). It is called "Calorie Counter". I LOVE iet and it has more functions than just restaurant look up. You can look up individual foods, restaurants, popular brands, supermarket brands and can even use the barcode scanner (if on your phone). It has…

I'll admit it isn't a "fast process" but you have to think about it this way...we didn't gain this weight overnight so we can't expect to lose it overnight either. I look at some post and see where people are losing like 20 lbs in 2 months and it has taken me 2 months to lose 12 so I get discouraged..then I think...MY BODY…

sorry pic is so big..I didn't realize how large it was :)

I totally understand the issue with exercise and kids. I have twin boys and one is very clingy even at the age of 3. Of course your child probably isn't old enough yet, but I have my "clingy" workout with me. Here is a pic of him "making arms" as he calls it

I have a droid phone that has the barcode scan and from what I understand the Iphones are not barcode capable..someone correct me if I am wrong.

Ok..Your BMR calculates to 1861 cal/day. SO take this 1861/24 (hours in a day). Now take that number (which is 77.54) and divide by 60 (minutes in an hour) and this is how many calories you burn per minutes just "living" (yours was 1.29 per minute). NOW --> Let's say I burn 750 cal/day for an even # by walking. I would…

My weakness is CHOCOLATE...I like to use the hershey's sugar free chocolate syrup (sometimes with a little peanut butter) and use it as a dip for strawberries and apples. It's also really good to roll a banana in the chocolate then freeze. Another thing I found was the chocolate rice cakes topped with peanut butter. I must…

I have 1 question..how much weight are you wanting to lose per week? What does MFP say you need to eat daily without exercise (from your food diary)..
-
make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on wheat bread. I use natural peanut butter, sugar free jelly and nature's own wheat bread.. I also like to take pita bread and split in half (around) then into quarters (makes 8 chips). Spray with pam and sprinkle with cinnamon and splenda..bake on 350 for about 10 minutes..these…

I like to take a whole chicken and rub with garlic powder and black pepper. Place in slow cooker and squeeze half a lemon onto chicken then slice other half of lemon and place lemon slices onto chicken and cook. I eat the breast and DH and kids eat the rest..very yummy served with wheat pasta tossed in olive oil and grated…

I use an ap on my phone called calorie counter by fatsecret. They list restaurants and the calories (and other nutritional values) in food at restaurants, supermarkets, etc and even have a barcode scanner if you have the ability on your phone to scan..I can go to any restaurant other people want to go to and I just pull up…

Me too...first was almost 8 lbs and the twins almost 12 together! Mine seems to be flattening out in the middle but the sides still "hang" anyone else with this happening?
-
This is soooo true. Not only do I know I will never be in "high school" shape but even my twenties are out of the question. I am 5'5" and was 114 when I got married (at 24). I am always telling DH that I know I will never be in that shape again, I mean with 3 kids (1 set of twin included) I can't expect miracles LOL. I am…

PLEASE somebody help me with this..I posted the question a few days ago with NO responses..

Ok I have a question..I tested my HRM the other day (1 minute before my workout) and it said I burned 2.4 calories while sitting still. According to MFP I only burn 1 calorie per minute. How do I know which is correct?? I usually burn about 250 calories according to my HRM working out for 45 minutes (turbo jams) and this…

Congrats on your "New" pants. Getting into shape is enough to even make a man LOVE clothes shopping!! Great job and keep up the work..

Thanks for the info..I just downloaded and worked out to it for the first time! My HRM said I burned 267 calories (after I subtract my BMR) so it was 319 calories before doing this!! I must say it was fun and easy to learn the steps.
