1. That a plateau could go on for a very long time. 2. That I would lose weight in my feet. 3. How sore my butt would get sitting on bleachers. (It really does hurt!)

Mine is incredibly slow, also. I chalk it up to hormones, stress, and eating some cruddy stuff now and then. BUT i am losing even if it is slow so I will continue.

A favorite quote for these kinds of situations: In this matter, you should not concern yourself for my sake. ― Amy Tan, The Kitchen God's Wife A nice way to say Butt out! I am amazed how many people feel the need to dispense advice while applying no common sense to their own lives. Best to find a polite way to say MYOB and…

Thanks. This is helpful.

Seriously, I have idea what to do. Either I completely clean up my eating so that I can lose, OR what I eat makes no difference as long as I am under TDEE. Either I need to cut the amount of calories to lose weight OR I need to increase it. Either I need to lift weights and do less cardio OR I need to do more cardio and…

Upped to between 1300 and 1600. No. Am I supposed to? I kind of considered this a break! No. I am not sure of anything anymore since nothing appears to be working.

Yes. Some loss in quarter inches the first week but nothing this week.

I know someone on- line who was on one of those shows. She'd had cancer and this was a way to pay off their bills. She came off looking sensible and loving. The mom she switched places with was nuts.

I followed the links and saw your fantastic progress? Way to go!

One week into the eating more thing: Have not lost any more pounds but also have not gained any which I was quite afraid of. But did lose about 1/2 inch off hips and waist which totally blew me away. I was NOT expecting that because it has been a kind of cruddy week with a horrid overindulgence in brownie batter one…

Not to take this to a completely crazy tangent away from the obvious trolling that this originally began with but..... Ever been to an actual farm? Farms are businesses. Farmers have to make money to stay in business. Calves are worth money. They aren't just killed although they are often removed from the cow and bottle…

You look great! Also, I love your dog.

Failed on day 1! I fell asleep before I bit all my calories eaten. But i did eat more than I usually have. New day. Start again.

I teach and this is our dress code: Appropriate Dress examples: In addition to good judgment, employees are directed to apply the following general guidelines for choosing clothing that is appropriate for school and models professionalism: • Suits • Dress or casual slacks, khakis • Casual dresses or skirts, reaching to at…

Yes. For me as a woman hitting menopause with a super pokey metabolism, it is slow but it is the only thing I have ever had success with. I have to log it all and keep at it day after day but it does work!

Fantastic advice! I appreciate so much hearing from someone who knows what it's like. I especially like the idea of getting some tear jerker movies to relieve some stress. I'm going to keep at it all as best as I can but understand that I might have some rough places to deal with. I love my dad so much and it is just so…

Wow! Love seeing the before and afters laid out like that. Congrats on your success.

You are not the only one. My weight loss is sooooooo slow and it is depressing at times. What keeps me going is knowing that if I do the right things, eventually I will succeed. Instant gratification would be awesome but slow change over time is much more likely to lead to keeping my weight off long-term.

Awesome! Nice Cyclone shirt, too.

Over priced and way too big of portions BUT I love the cheesecake and do go there one in a while as a treat. The red velvet cake cheesecake is soooooooo good! But I love dessert. Obviously enough since I am here.

Gave birth to two and adopted two . Would totally have more but hubby wants to be able to retire some day!

Dreadful message in the lyrics but I've always thought Cocaine by Eric Clapton to be beautiful. Not in the Wow-I-want-this-to-be-played-at-my-wedding way but in feeling someone's experience through their music. Clapton does this so well.

One U of I graduate son. One U of I drop out son. One future U of I daughter. One daughter who's looking at Drake or UNI. So at 75% kids U of Iowa related, guess that makes us Hawkeye fans. Have lived in Iowa on a farm all my life. Fairfield area as a kid. Live by Brighton now. Teach in Ottumwa.

Love District 9! And Dumb and Dumber and Star Wars and Kill Bill I and II. Lord of the Rings- love because of the books but the movies were a bit disappointing. Same with Harry Potter. Hate pretty much anything marketed to women because most of it is sappy drivel. Titanic sucked but loved the guy who fell off, hit the…

When jeans fit, they are the best garment ever! Lee jeans and Levis are my faves in misses sizes and not dreadful on the budget. The Levis brand at Walmart are quite reasonable. When I get to my goal weight, I have informed my hubby that we are going to Buckle to buy a pair of Rock Revival or other ungodly expensive jeans…
