My mini goals are 10lb increments getting me to 100lbs total loss. I'm coming up on goal 5. I don't really set big rewards. It's new clothes or a night out with friends. The reward is feeling a lot better for the most part. Lol

I live in southern Ontario and our nature is stunning. The Bruce Trail is amazing for hiking. We are planning a big hike in Algonquin in October. The fresh air is so calming.

Clothing. I need new pants with each 10-15lb loss. So I get a few pairs of jeans to tide me through. I love thrifts so I can do it on the cheap.
-
Walking/hiking. If I can get out in nature I'm happy. I hate being stuck in a gym. The only exercise I do indoors is yoga.

I started with a first goal of 100. I wanted to assess once I hit that point. I'm down 45.5 so I still have a ways to go but I focus on 10 pound increments rather than the big goal. But I keep it in the back of my mind.
-
Try not to focus on the big goal (keep it in your sights though). Break it down to smaller goals. Example. Set 5kg goals. You have to do that 10 times and you're done. Getting to 5kg increments will motivate you. I do 10lb goals. I find it helps.

I don't like the idea of full "cheat" days. I have a higher calorie meal about once a week. It's planned and I cut out some calories each day to account for it.
-
Lululemon TaTa Tamer. It's the only high impact bra I wear. Goes up to a 38DD.

I don't even want to know how far over my calories I went today. Lol. It was our annual neighbourhood BBQ and it's a great time. I enjoyed great food and friends and will get right back on track tomorrow. Life is balance. You have to indulge sometimes.

It's awful. But you feel great after. Lol
-
That makes me sad. You are skipping out on life because of a few pounds that over 60% of North America are also carrying around.
-
All great goals but please don't forget to live while you are going through this process. Wear the swimsuit and enjoy the beach. Go on trips. Go out with your friends/family. Enjoy life! You never know what's around that corner. Once I reach my goal, I will continue to do everything I have been. Travel, hang with friends,…

Depending on what you ate, you may see a slight increase if you weigh yourself in the morning. But it's not real gain. Just sodium/food weight. It happens. Log it and keep chugging.

Exact same situation. I'm halfway back to where I was. I did it once...I'll do it again. So can you!!!!

In 2014 I lost 83 pounds. I looked awesome. I felt even better. A massive back injury and depression and I put it all back on. I'm finally coming out of that funk. Now down 43lbs again and I have my sights set on the next 40. I did it once...I can do it again. You're in the right place to turn things around.

Lived it. Lost 84 and put on 80. Back down 41. It is a nightmare. And those stupid memory posts on facebook don't help. They just remind me of where I was and how badly I failed.
-
I'm 41lbs down. I don't see a huge change but I have people always commenting. I think it's because we see ourselves everyday. I lost weight before and I know I won't really see it in myself for about another 20lbs and then it's like I'm a different person.

I live in southern Ontario and have two very active dogs. Zero choice about going out in winter. I bundle up and we do our minimum 5km a day.
-
It dropped off very fast at the start. It hasn't been 6.5lb steady a week. More level now. It was also a very stressful September.
-
40lbs is 0.8lbs away. I started august 1st so it's been a lot of work. New mini goal will be at least 50lbs by the time I go hiking in Algonquin in October.

I have a Lululemon winter coat that I wore 3 years ago. I love it and have wanted to be able to zip it again. I tried it on today (I restarted on August 1st and am at 39lbs down) and it zips!!!! It's tight and wouldn't be comfy right now but it zips!!!! Lol. By winter it will be perfect. Unfortunately my North Face is…

I did it once. Hated it. The male instructor came up behind me grinding. It was obvious I was uncomfortable. Never went back.

I am very curvy. Always am no matter my weight. Clothing can be tough. Especially jeans. But I'm not complaining.
-
I've lost 35. I want to lose about another 50 (and then I'll reassess). I'm struggling with how other people are reacting. You get used to being kinda invisible. Dealing with attention is hard for me. I still see myself as before.

I have found two groups of people at the gym. Those that are super supportive and those that are just their to do their thing. I have never experienced any issues at the gym with feeling judged. Go and enjoy! I bet you get hooked.

My new fav bra is actually a sports bra. The Free To Be Serene from lululemon. Love it! The straps are so awesome. I plan on buying all the pretty colours!
-
Not over 50 (but feel like it some days...lol). Hiking us my fav exercise. I live in southern Ontario and love to go on the Bruce Trail. We are lucky to have a plethora of amazing trails here. We are planning a late fall hike at Algonquin and a bigger trip to Banff in the summer. I can't stand being cooped up in a gym when…

I have mini goals that I want to meet. My newest goal is hiking in Algonquin in October. So I know I need to keep working out and building up endurance. I starting climbing the stairs up the mountain here to strengthen my legs. Long term goal is hiking Banff in July next year. I find these keep me motivated.
-
absolutely. I lost almost 90lbs 3 years ago. Put back on 85lbs after a back injury and bout with depression. Back at it and 31lbs down. You did it once! You can do it again.

Do you feel better now than when you were carrying the 40lbs extra? Has it made your life better losing the weight? Think of all the ways it has. Write them down. Pin them somewhere you will see every day to remind yourself.
