That is probably what the "to me" was about.

I am not an athlete, I just have a really active job. I run chainsaws and other equipment 8 to 10 hours a day and I get in an average of 20000 steps a day on work days. I try to road or mountain bike at least a couple times a week with longer rides on the weekend (weather has been crappy so I haven't rode much recently).…

I will accept the under 25 though

I am NOT innactive thank you very much... Did you even look at my profile pic. I am also 30...

I eat over 3,000 to maintain a body weight of 144lbs (maintained a 127lbs loss for over a year. 2000 calores would be harsh a deficit for me. Do you happen to follow Linda Bacon? The op seems very HAES and Linda is worshiped over there. She has never mentioned 2000 calories, but feels that people in the overweight category…

I can't stop watching lol!

I am 5'6" and 144lbs currently. When I was logging I was maintaining on over 3000 calories a day. I don't lift, but I work in tree care/property maintence. I am on my feet 8 to 10 hours a day running various types of equipment and dong clean up. Other than that I either mountain bike or road bike on the weekends and in the…

Maybe it's because I live in a farm town, but it really isn't a big deal for women to be strong where I live. Men are more impressed, not intimidted. That has been my experience anyway.

I thought you said in the OP he was kicked out for doing the move. Was he kicked out or did he leave the place after he learned the truth?

I rolled my eyes at "obesity in remission". I have read a few articles about this. I refuse to accept any excuse. My body must not hae gotten the memo that it is supposed to be trying to get fat again.

Very well said

Wow, after reading this thread I have found out that I am lazy and ignorant... I was diagnosed with OCD when I was a kid and have struggled with TRUE obsessive behaviormy life throughout . Logging and over restricting calories was a major obsession for me. For some people it is a fine line. I saw that logging was a problem…

The biggest thing I hated about being obese was the constant knee pain. I was in pain 24/7 and in high school I couldn't even walk up the stairs to get to my classes. I carried most of my weight in my hips and because I was obese for so long I have actually changed my leg shape. My knees began to buckle in under the…

Why is it so hard for people to understnd that people are different? Open your mind to the fact that people might not be like you. Anyway, I am already at goal and have been maintaining for over a year with intuitive eating. I responded better to fat shaming myself.

I am 5'6" and at my heaviest weight I was a size 24. She can do what she wants with her body. I won't rally behind her because I have been there and the extra weight on the joints and fat around the organs is not healthy. I have seen too many people hide behind body positivity because of their own denial. Body positivity…

I personally don't have to feel full everytime I eat. My overall diet is balanced. I meet my nutritional needs and can easily fit low nutrition high calorie foods into my overall healthy diet. I have lost 120+ pounds and kept it off over a year. I also am no longer pre diabetic, I no longer have high blood pressure is and…

I did this is through my weightloss. I started with not logging on weekends and then added more days of not logging as I progressed. I suffer from ocd and counting calories can be dangerous for ME. I stopped counting all together first of the year and have maintained since then. Try it and see if it works for you.

You continue to lose weight

Water Then I would ask for directions to a decent coffee house.

Yes I have absolutely been obsessed with food. I was diagnosed with ocd when I was a kid and calorie counting has shown to be a major trigger. I become obsessed with numbers and I over restrict. This is one of the reason I don't log my food. For me, intuitive eating puts me in a healthier mindset. It feels more natural to…

"I also hate when people who look thinnner than me tell me how horrible they look and that they need to lose weight because they are hideous. people dont even think about how thing like that are not only self depricating which is bad enough but also inulting to me, because if you look bad you are pretty much telling me i…

And you're not bitter all right...

Overweight/obese People who feel that their insecurities about their bodies are more valid because they think they are somehow less privileged than thin people. People who say you can't lose weight or maintain without counting calories. People who say that you must do a specific type of workout or you shouldn't even bother…

I would not expect my husband to go to an event where he would be sitting by himself for hours. That sounds horrible and unfair IMO. I don't know what definition people are using for "support", but my husband doesn't have to follow me around like a puppy for me to consider him supportive. MFP is a horrible place to ask for…
-
At first he didn't. It is a change and it might take him some time to get used to it. Grown ups talk things out and compromise in relationships. Op should be working with her husband on this. Open forums are a horrible place to ask for relationship advice. You get all types and as you can see some people seem to be a…

Oh good Lord. No it does not. My husband and I have traditional views and he is the head of the house hold. Having a traditional relationship doesn't mean we are not equal and it doesn't mean I can't be strong and lift weights.

All I have to say is that my dog has a right to be in her yard. Unless she gets off our property you better not hurt her in any way... If you let your kid run up to her without asking, you will be in for ear full because some people dislike dogs and I happen to dislike kids.

Why is it still affecting you? You broke up with him, stop letting him get to you.
