Nobody has an obligation to support anyone. The "clean eating" deal would be a deal breaker for me. What is YOUR definition of "clean eating" anyway? Everyone has their own...

I was diagnosed with moderate/severe depression when I was in middle school. Mine is due to a chemical imbalance in the brain and I was told at one time that medication was the only way to control it. I wasn't satisfied with that though, because all the meds I have taken have either made me feel like a zombie or the side…

Is sugar evil?

My husband and I make a special trip to krispy kreme (30min 1 way) once a month... I would eat the donut.

Tagging for suggestions!

I eat all types of sugar in moderation. I am having hot chocolate and cookies now. I have never had any of the symptoms you describe. I am healthy and have plenty of energy and I no longer take any prescription meds. I was extremely ill when I was obese and now I am active, healthy and happy. I was diagnosed with migraines…

A donut, cream and sugar will only make you gain if you eat above your maintenance calories which applies to any food... ETA: I don't have time to snack between breakfast and lunch.

If you are not interested in the recipe and you are not going to make, why comment? You don't have to comment on everything. You are not helping anyone, but you are making yourself look like an *kitten*...

Not really. I am more shocked at my lack of activity. I eat a lot now (3000 cals give or take), the difference is my activity level is very high instead of how I used to be, which I would call extreme couch potato.

Ditto...

Wow... I can't even begin to explain how ignorant this post is. I can tell you from experience that when depression is caused by a chemical imbalance you can't just "think positive". You should really try to actually see where people like me and some the others are coming from because you have no clue. Maybe try to be a…

Don't mind me... I am just here for the cake recipe!

I misread it... That is all.

It is his home too. Just because op speaks to him doesn't mean he has to do what she says. He shouldn't budge, she should learn self control.
-
If you are not joking then that is very sad... I feel bad for your husband.
-
Coupled with the need to control what other people bring into their own house... yes it is very sad... I would be telling some of the women here to get to steppin! No wonder the divorce rate is so high. Have some self control and stop trying to control your SO...

I agree with the first sentence... The rest, not so much. I have been obese. I have also been extremely ill because of the obesity. I am maintaining a 130lb loss, I am also healthy and fit for the first time in my life and have not had to avoid any types of food. Op: Congratulations on creating a calorie deficit in a way…

I really haven't changed my looks since I hit goal. I attempted wearing dresses and heals, but I realized I am way too much of a tom boy. LOL, I was so uncomfortable and could never get used to that type of apparel. I have thought about changing my hair style though.

You are so right, I have completely turned my health around and have gotten off all prescription meds, I have loads of energy, sleep like a baby and don't even have to wear makeup because I have no blemishes on my skin. oh wait... I DID ALL THAT WITH IIFYM. You clearly don't know much about IIFYM or the reasons people do…

No we are not ALL here to help each other...

 I am pretty sure there was a second part to that. Starving people would love to have it. They don't tend to get all caught up in "clean" vs "dirty" when it comes to food...

I smell a troll...

Ha! Thanks! I had a long work day... I should probably just go to bed lol!

IMHO, your husband is going to have to change his attitude before anything works. Weightloss is hard work and until he learns that he has to stick with something and not give up, he will just continue to throw money away on "miracles".

Well I have an active job (lawn care/tree removal) and can't take time off eat month because I have PMS... If I can go to work, I can workout. Honestly, it happens every month. I have dealt with it since I was 14. Cramps, headaches, fatigue, stomach ache ect. The world doesn't stop so neither do I. It is an excuse IMO…

Everyone here is not furiously trying to reshape their bodies... I am here to gain strength and endurance for work. Some people just don't care about how they look. If that is a motivation for you then that is fine but realize that you can't speak for everyone.

The S.A.D. is high in saturated fats and refined carbs. I hardly think the majority of us eat that way here. I know I don't.

So you thought you had a big frame until you lost weight and found that your frame is smaller than you once thought and you decided that everyone else is the same and if they say any different then it is an excuse? Oh my...

Here is what I got out of the OP: If you are struggling in your weightloss efforts or you aren't getting the results you thought you would, it might be a good idea to talk to a professional. That way they can help you develop a plan based on your own situation and stats. I didn't read into it more than that.
