Read the first post I wrote in this thread...

Glad you found what works for you. Raw vegan isn't optimal for everyone though. I will keep doing my thing. I don't label foods as good or bad. Food is just food. The only foods I have cut out are those that I am allergic or intolerant to. Even then those foods are only bad for ME.

SMH... stop with the absolutes. It is not a core reason for everyone. Are people really this narrow minded?
-
No it is NOT definitely somewhere on the list...not for everyone anyway.
-
Agreed! I have no problem with people losing weight for looks. I do have a problem with all the absolutes being thrown around. Once someone says "everyone" or "all men/women, I stop listening. I did not lose weight for looks. I was brought up to not focus on outward appearance and it stuck. I lost weight because I was 18…

I have the same gloves!!!! I also have pink laces in my workboots and pink work gloves!

The op never asked a question about it. Read the op again... She was just sharing what her and her husband were doing. She seemed excited about it and was still excited and optimistic in her later post on page 7.

What is the "right kind of support"? I assume you mean "I want the right kind of support FOR ME."
-
I think the problem is that some are assuming that the money makes it about control. I have never been in a controlling relationship but did have controlling and abusive parents. If they wanted to control me they would just lock me in my room until I agreed to do what they said. Paying me would have been much better.
-
No, but thank you for resorting to name calling...
-
What do you not understand about the fact that I am not talking to you? I didn't respond to you anymore because it wasn't worth it. I responded to Johnny because I wanted to.
-
I wasn't talking to you... I was talking to Johnny who is also in the quotes. I never said most either. I didn't respond to you because it wasn't worth it to...
-
There does seem to be a lot of, " my relationship doesn't operate that way, so your relationship must be bad".
-
That isn't what I got out of it at all. I really think you are putting your own spin on this. The op is happy and excited about this and we don't even know the whole story. People do things differently. The close mindedness on this thread is just mind blowing. I would suggest some people here really need to venture out of…

YOUR body might struggle to digest gluten, mine has no problem at all. Op: some people have medical issues that prevent them from eating ANYTHING with gluten. Some people feel better when cutting it out because they just feel better without it. Some people believe the hype and they assume everyone should cut out gluten…

God forbid someone run their household different from the way you run yours. I find it sad that you think it would be better if she nagged him into it.
-
Why, because you say so?
-
I agree with all of the above! My husband and I have separate accounts (plus a business account). It works for us. People can judge all they want, but I have a loving and supportive marriage and wouldn't change a thing. Good luck OP!
-
I like the original post, but this comment isn't really needed...
-
You seem to think everyone will have the same experience with keto as you did... That seems pretty closed minded to me. Glad you can eat tons of bacon though. Red meat and pork both make me incredibly ill.
-
When I did low carb I looked and felt like crap. My energy level suffered and I got sick a lot. Do what works for you... Balance happens to work for me and that balance includes carbs of all kinds.

Hell on this site the body shaming doesn't stop. I agree with OP. I love what lifting has done to my body and yes I have been called "manly". That being said, if body shaming is wrong then there are a few comments on this thread that are out of line and body shaming also. I guess it is ok if it isn't happening to you...

*sigh* It is very possible to lose weight, get healthy and count calories without a scale. You might not be able to but it worked perfectly for me. I am very good at estimating and eyeballing. I don't think everything is absolute and I have the sense to adjust my intake if need be. All without weighing food. This may come…
-
Completely unnecessary!
-
My guess would be accuracy. I have a scale, but I rarely use it. I have gotten pretty good at eyeballing and estimating measurements, so I keep doing what works for me.
-
Yes you can eat anything. If you are in a deficit you will lose. At 1000 calories a day, I don't see how you could maintain much LBM. I am a 28 year old female and I am losing at 2500 calories. You are a 39 year old man and you are living on 1000 calories a day. Surely you could eat more and still lose without starving…
-
I have been eating them back. I lost the weight I wanted to here, now am I maintaining. I lost most of my weight subtracting from TDEE, which includes exercise (so basically I was still eating exercise calories). MFP has been dead on for me with eating them back.
-
I am 140lbs right now, but will be starting a bulk in a couple of weeks so my weight will be going up. I don't really had a goal weight.
-
I love ALL bread! My favorite has to be fresh wheat berry bread from Let's Do Lunch (small cafe where I live). I could eat the whole loaf in one sitting.
-
The same thing happened to me when I was maintaining. All it ment was that the estimated TDEE I was given was not accurate for me. I increased my calories and found my true TDEE and went from there.
