I had no trouble adding fractional pounds using a decimal (i.e., XXX.8)

You missed all the fireworks then. A few years back there was a regular poster who focused on one topic and basically one topic only: "How breakfast killed my parents, kicked my dog, got me fired, and made me fat (and assuredly will do the same to you)." Always entertaining on a Friday forum day.

There is a weight chart (and cals, exercise, etc. - whole bunch of items) available online via the "Reports" link along the top of any of the pages ("My Home" - "Food" - "Exercise" - "Reports") I think OP was referring to the way you can record weight in the app -- used to be a little scrolling ruler-like input…

Congrats, OP. Well done! I'm afraid I don't have any particular insight to share - you seem to be thinking it through from multiple angles and have some outside support, too. I hope you find the spark or interest you need to finish the loss off and begin successfully maintaining.
-
Ahh . . . I misinterpreted, too. Hopefully my post is helpful for lurkers. Good luck, OP!

Given what I understand of your goals, you really should be doing some form of resistance training while cutting. Weights are popular, but bodyweight workouts and other options are out there too. In a vast oversimplification: when cutting, you are losing body mass. For most people, and I strongly suspect for you, the goal…

I never really go to B&R, but I may have to pop in to try that Oreo Milk & Cereal -- the frosted flakes are inspired.

@WinoGelato - too little time, too many fine dining opportunities to make the crab shack. We're already re-located to the Smokey Mountains now (outside Pigeon Forge, TN), and soon will resume a leisurely road trip east. I am open to restaurant and dessert suggestions in Asheville, NC, Charlotte, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, and…

I haven't been active in the forums for a long time and sort of lost track of this group after the original thread and related threads got nuked a while back. Happy to find a new thread going! I haven't been eating much gelato or ice cream recently, but we just started a family vacation, and I was happy to find that we now…

Four bites of chicken? What about the champagne with oysters or other chilled shellfish? What about the lobster bisque and a nice side Caesar with table-side-grated parmesan? Did you act on any of my advice? Despite the horrendous dining experience, did you do something after dinner? Sorry it didn't work out for you (at…

I weigh the banana unpeeled, then weigh the peel and subtract that from the unpeeled weight. Same for apple and core, etc. Nowadays I just weigh the meat cooked. You could weigh the cooked steak, then weigh what you didn't eat, and do the same subtraction as above to determine amount consumed. If you really want to stick…

Those look great! How were they?

I haven't had much gelato lately, but a week or so ago I bought a pint of Talenti Caribbean Coconut when it was on sale. Pretty sure I'd had it before, but couldn't remember how I felt about it. Well, last night I was disappointed. Honestly tasted like "ice milk" (fake ice cream), and despite having a clear shredded…

I haven't been around much . . . maybe a challenge would get me back into the social aspects of MFP. No great suggestions, though.

Not to bring the thread down, but I have to get this one out of my system. A few weeks back we had a great peach pie from a bakery in Placerville, where we had stayed for a long weekend. We enjoyed it very much, and my wife decided to try and find another like it locally. She bought this Peach Pie from Heidi's. I had a…

I am a big fan of Tillamook! I love the Marionberry Pie flavor, and really haven't had a disappointing one yet (though only tried 3 or 4)

I'd been using 104g for the serving, but if you do write and get a response, please post! And that is just about the very best calorie-efficient ice cream / gelato I've ever had. It is shocking how flavorful and rich it is but still manages the low calorie count. Enjoy!
-
I'm not sure it is misused. I once, just outside of a dive bar, saw a crispy cookie slash a mouthy calorie, so there's that.

Spent the weekend in Placerville ("gold country," outside Sacramento) for a little whitewater rafting and good food and drink. Just happened to be a "brewfest" in town where lots of local breweries were offering tastes - perfect timing! We left yesterday morning, and went by a bakery / breakfast place for a hearty…

Happy Father's Day to the fathers out there. I was presented with a treat some of you oldtimers will recognize: Going to watch the end of the Canada-Switzerland women's world cup match, have some steak for dinner, and enjoy some pink popcorn after.

I thought it was OK. Not something I'd buy for myself, but my kids love that stuff. I am enough of a coconut hound and a Samoas fan that I can enjoy a bit. It's not a problem in my household as, especially with school out, the Thin Mints was gone Monday before I even had more than a few spoonfuls to taste it, and the…

Had to rush out this AM for coffee creamer and decided to pick up an old standby - Tillamook Marionberry Pie. Noticed that Breyer's Blast's were available at 2 for $7 and went with a girl scouts theme. And a warm welcome (or welcome back) to the kitty cat!

Hmmm . . . banned from the public forums, or Groups, too, or everything to do with MFP? Seems silly. ETA: That Hokey Pokey sounds really intriguing.

Awesome!

I don't know man, that seems to be a very limiting pool of potential mates. [I know that was a typo / autocorrect :p ]

Clearly she took my advice, and the date went so well that the young lovers decided to elope. I expect we'll have to wait a week or so before we get to see some of the honeymoon pics from an exotic locale.

Just try to avoid dudes who order nonsense with kale at brunch. *Shiver*.

It sounds as if you may be a philistine. And perhaps also didn't grok the post.

Stunningly brilliant!
