You might have a good point there. I went from being pre-diabetic to hypoglycemic after my surgery. Haven't had that in awhile...but boy when I start dropping, I drop fast and have passed out even. Good thing I was selt-belted into a car when it happened! Hmmm...time to get out the blood testing stuff and take a look.…

NO, NO, NO!! (insert stomping of her princess foot here..)LOL.. Seriously tho, i'll cut down and see if that helps. And if that doesn't work, I may have to quit for awhile....huge sigh......

Ya think? LMAO!!

Thank you! Yes, I just increased my cardio by 5 minutes. Maybe I should cut it back down a bit. As for the food thing, I'm a gastric bypass patient and I have trouble getting a lot of food down on somedays. It varies from day to day....Thanks for the help guys!! I think I'll pick up some protein at Wal Mart in a bit.…

I used to work at a vitamin store, and was told that the maximum upper limit on Vit.C per day is 10,000mg. Now that is a LOT of Vit.C, you could easily get diarrhea, as a few have mentioned. I myself take only 2000mg per day.

Good for you!! Keep up the great work!!

I'm 5'5" too. My perfect weight is 165. I've as low as 145 and truly looked WAY underweight. People thought I was anorexic! I have a large frame, so 165 is perfect for me. (makes me a solid size 10) I'm also older than you I bet, I'm 56, if that matters.

Also, you can "shed" hair after any trauma, any surgery (from the anesthesia). Hair thats sheds goes in a cycle. You will lose all you're going to lose in few months, then you start to see little nubbins, poking out all over your head! The good news? When my hair grew back in, it was gorgeous!! It's now my pride and joy.…

I used to take 5000 mcg, after my RNY surgery many years ago. (I can't remember if it's mg's or mcg's, it will say on the bottle.) You can get the higher dosage at any vitamin store. Yes, it really does help. I lost half the hair on my head after my RNY. Hope this helps!

Yep, I've lost 100lbs. (currently fighting a regain). When I first was on my way down, it took me years, yes YEARS, for me to realize what size I was. You asked whether it was a good thing or bad thing. That depends, on a few things. If time goes on and on and you still think you are 295 lbs still, that could be a bad…

Absolutely awesome!!! *as she steals your picture for herself...*

Step away from the evil scale!! Seriously. You are doing one of two things. Retaining water in your muscles from starting to work out again(or a higher intensity) or you have gained some muscle tone. Don't worry about either. Me personally, I've learned that weighing myself, tends to make me nuts! I can feel my…

I miss chocolate!!!! Makes me dump, big time!!! Haven't had it a long time now. Sigh.....Oh well, thats probably a good thing. But still, I miss it!!!

I have that problem in the "unisex" area of my gym. I really don't want some sweaty bodybuilder checking me out,, even worse watching himself flex in the mirror!! Gag.....so I solved that problem. I work out in the ladies only section. Problem solved! Gym's can vary a lot. Some are frequented by a lot of normal folks,…

I HAVE body dismorphic disorder and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I had it at 145 and at 245. I am now 188 and it's reared it's ugly head again. Please, please, hon, you look awesome! You have a PERFECT body!! And if you think you don't, PLEASE get some counseling!! You could go from body dismorphic disorder to anorexia…

Hello all, It's Marci, one of the newbies. I've got a question: how bad is it to NOT have a day off from working out? I like my wine, but I've been drinking way too much of it. Instead of going complete tee-totaler (which I don't think would last long, considering the amount of stress I'm under) could I work out every day,…

Absolutely hilarious!! Thanks! I needed a good laugh!!!

Good Morning all, Well, today is day 2. I didn't do very well yesterday on day 1. I made it till about 7:30pm and got bored (and lonely, I'm single, oh yay....) and ended up going to the store for my Chardonnay. Had 3 or 4 glasses. The good news is thats about HALF of my usual amount. So I guess I should give myself credit…

Hello all, I'm Marci, Mind if I join in? My wine intake is getting me zero results at the gym. Been busting my butt at the gym,6 days a week, been on here 6 weeks and only 2 lbs lost. So I'm going to really try to take a break from my beloved Chardonnay. The size of my butt, WILL be smaller by summer! Today is day one…

I would go for a B-Complex instead. Get one that is "balanced" with ALL the B's being of 100%. It should say so on the label. B-3 is niacin, I believe, so it will be in there. If you're tired a lot, get your doc to run some blood tests for your vitamin levels, you may be anemic. I take a boatload of vitamins, so don't…

I agree. The plain stuff is gross! But I tried the one with cherries on the side and adding a bit more sugar free jam to it and it was delish! 10 grams of protein in that little container. Perfect for a post workout snack!!!

This whole thread is hilarious!!! Love it!!!! LMAO!!!!

Awwww......I wish I could give you a big hug right now.....I remember how hard it is to be overweight and start getting motivated (with me, it was time after time after time....) I finally got tired of all the yoyo'ing (is that a word? LOL) that at the age of 49, I went and had gastric bypass surgery. It's not for…

I eat egg beaters every morning, cause I am lactose intolerant. There's a lot of lactose in regular eggs, and the egg beaters are just fine!! No tummy upset at all. Yeah, a bit pricey though.
