  • I use eggbeaters. I make them with mushrooms, roasted red bell pepper (the kind in a jar) and cheese. Yumm.....Turns out to be about 300 calories and I'm stuffed!
  • Not enough. I have insomnia too. It sucks....
  • When I did have aTOM, I weighed once a month, after my TOM was over. More accurate that way. Now I don't use a scale at all. It makes me crazy.....I think my scale is evil.....I go by inches and what size jeans I'm in, (the way my clothes fit).
  • I went through menopause early as well. Started at age 40 and a year or so later, boom....I was done. So I was only out of my mind for about 14 months or so.....   I now take estrogen. The estrogen only one. (not the one with progesterone too) It has kept my skin looking way younger than I am. Having…
  • Go back to your doctor. A good gastroenterolgist might be the one you want to see. This is not healthy and you need a doctors visit, hon. Get a second opinion from someone else. This is not good for your body. Hang in there....
  • Just go onto the forums and count how many people totally binged this past weekend!! It seems like we all did! I've had a super bad sinus infection for going on 2 weeks, so I haven't been working out. I totally SUCK. (and so does my sinus') LOL No worries! We're all human.
  • Amen, sista!!!
  • Totally agree!!! Sure are a lot of "food nazi's" on here....
  • Yep, I have. But I gotta ask you, what is that thing in your avatar? It's way cute!!! But I just can't figure out what it is. A albino mouse?
  • Years ago we were on a vacation and my brother pulled one boot on and just so happened to turn over the other one before he pulled it on. Guess what fell out? A big fat scorpion!!! I still shudder, thinking about it.
  • It all depends on several factors. How long you've been overweight, how much elasticity your skin has, how old you are. Younger people have a tendency to recover better than someone in their 50's or 60's. Look at your mom, has she aged well? Yes, it's possible not to need plastic surgery, but I know a few people that have…
  • LMAO!!!!!!
in I'm hot? Comment by marci355 May 2011
  • My two cents: keep some of your curves. I've been 245 and I've been 145. I'm 5'5" and my perfect wieght is 165. At 145, I looked gaunt, my skin was hanging off of me and everybody thought I was anorexic. I'm a bit older than you, I think, and at 145 I looked much older, than I do now.
  • My diary is set to private. I leave notes to my boyfriend in there. And...I'm crappy about logging stuff.
  • Yes, I agree. It is a very personal choice. But I always get comments from people who know someone that 1. died on the table getting surgery 2. They gained a lot of weight back and so on and so on.......what people don't usually want to hear are all of the success stories. There are so many of us out there. And yes, I…
  • Actually there is a lot of long term stats out there. Have you researched any of the surgeries? I have. Most people that have bariatric surgery of any type, maintain their loss. The doctors say even if you have a bit of "bounce back" weight, you are still a sucess if you maintain 60% of your loss. The Roux-n-y has been…
  • There is a well known statistic that the chances of someone losing say,a 100 lbs, and keeping it off, for LIFE, hovers right around 5%. Thats why I had the surgery. So I wouldn't gain it all back. I have yoyo'd my whole life. I'm not defensive about it. But you can bet ,we get really sick of hearing judgemental crap from…
  • Because MANY people can lose weight, but they can't keep it off. Sure I've lost a ton of weight many times in my life. Did it ever stay gone? NO. The surgery gives you the chance to lose it, for good and keep it off.
  • Yes they are.....and pretty darn quick to judge others.....
  • And that difference would be????? How about the chances of YOU gaining all your weight back are much, much higher than some one who has had the help of their doctor. Don't judge people. What do really know about these surgeries, besides saying you know a friend of a friend who has a aunt etc.....For a lot of pople, they…
  • Don't just love it when the "food police" show up?? They need to STFU. Nuff said.
  • I know sweetie. Everyone in my family have that large frame German bone structure. I am 5'5" and I was the shortest of everybody, but we're all large framed. It just the way G*D, made us!! My lil sister is 5'10, brother was 6'2", the other sister was 5'8" I hear ya, girl....
  • "Wow, are sick? is something wrong? You don't have cancer do you?" Seriously. A few people had the gall to say that to me, when I was at my lowest (after gastrc bypass) Like I could do anything about it. We lose what we're supposed to lose and then we "bounce back" a few lbs. Boy, was I glad to see 165 again. (size 10).…
  • My wrist is a large frame size at 245 and it's a large at 145. My fingers do not touch and thye a good 1/2 inch apart. It was that way, when I was i at my smallest. It's been an interesting ride, these last 7 years. When stop and think about it, I've lived in 3 different bodies. Weird. But there's one thing that did not…
  • I agree also. I've been as low as 145. I looked like drug addict or a starvation victim. Seriously. When they tell you you are going to lose a 100 lbs with an RNY, gastric bypass, you WILL. (or at least I did) I have such a large frame (i'm half german) , but did I look like ****. I had several people ask if I was…
  • That was me yesterday...you're not alone. But today I said no to a bottle of wine!!! Yay!!!!
  • When you lose fat cells, they contain a lot of hormones. Consider yourself lucky. I know some gastric bypass patients (like me) who went through the same thing. They ripped their husbands head off, on a daily basis for months!!! So what is happening ,you are losing fat and fat cells have your hormones stored in them…
  • LMAO @ "word vomit" Must remember that one!!! Love it
