Hmmn I clicked this thinking there was actually a weight lifting/boxing routine. Like lifting weights at the same time as boxing :D Anyway I do enjoy lifting. And I do Krav Maga as my cardio. I bought a heavy bag and mounted it in my basement so I can practive my Krav techniques and commit them to muscle memory. But a good…

I've been doing the 40/30/30 for a while now while on recomp. It's been working well for me. Just enough carbs for energy and the protein is manageable. I don't hit the goals every day (lately with the holidays it's been tough)

About Time Vegan protein powder... vanilla and choc. Friend told me it was delicious so I bought 3 tubs of it on sale. Tasted like chalk.. literally. Ended up giving it all away to a Vegan at work. Disgusting.

Breakthrough PR on my Bench. Been stuck at 220 one rep max for forever it seems :(

Yep this question should be directed to your doc and physical therapists and then you only exclusively do what they clear you to do. In the meantime turn your attention to getting your diet in order and on track. Hoping you have a speedy recovery and best of luck. :)

My .02 and I am no expert and someone else will probably give you better advice... I feel like you're overdoing it a little. If I am reading it right every day you are riding the bike for 40 mins twice a day, then adding in a Pump or HIIT vid, then 3X a week doing weights? So on your weight days you are doing weights, then…

Impressive... I've been stuck at 200lbs 1 rep max on the bench for a month now. I tried 205lbs and failed. It's literally my absolute max to barely get 200 up. Squats I'm up to 225 x5 (too scared to attempt a 1 rep max) Deads 230 x1 is my max Frustrating being stuck at the same max for so long. But I'm still eating at a…

Started Krav about 3 months ago and love it as well. It's expensive though so not sure how long I'm going to stay with it. I didn't join for the fitness factor, I just wanted to have the peace of mind of knowing how to handle a bad situation if God forbid I ever find myself in one. But boy is it intense. I've done…

Yea that's why I usually do an active rest day. Some like cardio with deep stretching. Long slow walk etc. Nothing to strenuous like my normal workouts, but enough that at least I felt like I did something. Sitting on the couch all day makes me feel worse mentally and physically.

The Beta and Gamma phases have some weights incorporated into the program. So you could just aim to do those videos on your weight days. Or just use your weight machine on 3-4 days a week and do the more cardio based T25 vids the other 2-3 days (depending if you are planning in a work day).

. to you as well

It's $40 on Beach Body now and I've seen it even cheaper on Amazon at times. They've dropped the price on it quite a bit. Plus Sagi has a new program coming out with Autumn Calabrese called Hammer and Chisel. I'm hoping he does a Body Beast 2 next.

But she didn't say she was looking for body composition. What if she's looking for improvements to stamina, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness etc? Insanity will provide all that and more. And despite what some think it does incorporate some pretty intense body weight resistance training, and also includes a weight…

I say go with #3 B)

Body Beast if you're willing to pay. If you are looking to go the free route there is tons on YouTube I've found.
-
Nice list.. all three are on my workout playlist as well. B)

I do double overhand until I start getting to the really heavy 1 rep max range and then start using the mixed. But I alternate so I don't build up one side more then the other.

My wife lost 120 LBS and the boobs were the first to go. She went down at least 2 cup sizes. But you know what... her being healthy, determined, energetic, and happy is so much sexier to me then any one specific physical body part.
-
All that matters. Do the best you can but stick with it. You will improve and at the end of the program you'll look back and laugh and remember how much you struggled to what seems so easy now. It's a great program and I recommend you follow it as designed because there is a rhyme and reason to the order of the videos.

Nah I do Krav classes at 7 and 8 PM throughout the week and I'm able to fall asleep at 10 with no issues. If you take a pre workout that late you might have issues, or if your one of those people that takes a long time to settle after working out maybe. But for me after class is done I'm longing for my bed :D

Yep it's legit and it's intense. It's still my go to for cardio when I work out at home. If you're already doing a routine at the gym you probably won't have that big of a problem transitioning to it. Might get some DOMS the first week from the power jumps and jack squats type stuff. Something I always do when I'm going to…

With Tony it's a Rhode Island thing. Being a fellow Rhode Islander I pick up on alot of his inside jokes. But after you've done the same DVD 5+ times it does start to get old.

I started working out first thinking how much I ate didn't really matter and that I could just outwork it. Took me 3 months of failing to lose anything before I finally realized you just can't overcome a bad diet. So eventually found my way to MFP and been tracking ever since.

For the Flu no I would rest. Regular colds like I have now yes I still workout. Amazingly I hit a new high on my squats and deads on Sunday with a sore throat, stuffy nose, and sneezing... :)
-
Since I started about 2 months ago Krav Maga has been my main cardio throughout the week. It's ridiculous how exhausting 2 minute all out bag drills are. More intense then any Insanity video I've ever done.
-
Damn... your wife lifts 15 more pounds on the squats then me and about the same on the deads... and I'm 180 lbs... :s Ego destroyed... :'(
-
I recommend when you start do a zero week first. Meaning you do the first week but you do it very slowly. Familiarize yourself with the workouts, get a feel for the movements and transitions, try out the modified vs. unmodified versions. Just do the vids at like 50%. This will also lesson some of the DOMS you are bound to…

Any particuliar fly's you recommend? Dumbbell, cable, machine? I find doing heavy butterflies with dumbells puts a ton of stress on my shoulders and elbows. :(

Trenches - Pop Evil (My go to when I am getting close to my max lift)

My abs get a good amount of work through my lifting, Krav class and cardio regimens. But I try and do some iso work a couple of times a week. Takes me literary less then10 minutes to tear them up pretty good so if I have some time left over at the end of a workout session I'll get some plank type work in.
