Yep my mom has crippling anxiety and I inherited a touch of it. Mine is manageable but exercise makes it so much easier to deal with. Before I started working out the doc had me on Zoloft and Xanax to deal with it. Two years ago when I started getting fit I realized I didn't need the meds anymore and the workouts were…

Yes but it happens on all post lifting days for me not specifically only after legs

Just really different programs. P90X3 is light on cardio, and T25 Alpha phase is heavy on it. Once you get to Beta the program will be a little more balanced out with upper body and weights. The Alpha phase is designed to build up the core and lower body, it's actually an all out assault on the calves :s

I always recommend you follow the program accurately the first run through. If you complete it and want to go through again using a hybrid schedule that's fine. But it's designed a certain way for a reason. Speed 1.0 is not kickboxing, it alternates between cardio and stretching and then finishes up with a 9 minute…

Totally fine. I found some Zone Perfect Protein Bars in a box from moving that expired in 2012 and I've been eating them. They are pretty gross but they don't taste any worse now then they did when I first bought them :s
-
My one true vice is Doritos. I am unable to just open a bag, poor out a controlled portion, eat it and be satisfied. I MUST EAT ENTIRE BAG. Therefore I simply do not buy them cause I know I can't control myself :s

Did you actually click the link? It's a bit more involved then I think you are giving it credit. I could see how it would be a good starting point for someone who is extremely sedentary.... being pretty harsh with your criticism IMHO.
-
Yea T25 itself called for a double Friday or you could move the workout to Sat. I see no harm in doing 2 videos if you have the stamina for it. As long as you aren't holding back in the first video because mentally you are worried that you have another video to do. That would undermine the concept of Max30 which is to go…

Yea like mel2904 I feel like your diet is going to be your undoing. Insanity is pretty intense and your body is going to need recovery time, nutrition, and energy. I'm not a fan of herbalife but I used to do Shakeology and now I take another cheaper nutritional shake for lunch. I think you should only do the shake once and…

^ So true. Did chest last week and was able to put up 230 x3 and I was psyched at the gain. Yesterday I struggled to get 215 up once. Was quite disappointing. But have to take it in stride. Can't say I can point to any specific factor that would have affected me. My body just wasn't up for it at that moment.
-
Insanity is a great program. I have no idea what that Sith78 guy is talking about. If you want to improve cardiovascular health, stamina, flexibility, strength and durability Insanity is more then effective.

Can't say I've ever looked at one particular hollywood actor and thought to myself "steroids". But I am quite astounded when an actor completely recomps their body for a lead role. Like how frail Christian Bale made himself for his role in The Machinist in 2004 and then completely bulked up for Batman Begins a year later.…

IMHO you are at a healthy weight so don't worry about the scale. Focus on body recomp and strength gains. I know you mentioned you have some fat in your hips you want to lose but sometimes genetics just works against us. I've been stuck at my current weight for a while now too. Been 7 pounds from my goal for forever it…
-
Yea typically that generic circuit training entry will give you a safe number to use. I used to use it when I did T25 and it would give me about 220 cals burned. I would only eat back about 60-70% of those just to be safe. I switched to TDEE method now though so I just log my workouts as 1 cal burned. May be a better…

All I know is when I do leg extensions my quads are on fire... so it's doing something
-
I'm not an expert but I will give it a shot...weight loss is mostly going to come from your diet and eating at a deficit. So just make sure you are weighing and logging your food accurately and the pounds will start coming off. You can't really spot reduce areas of your body to lose fat from. From what I understand the…

So OP have you gone yet and if so how was the experience?

Krav Maga Power Lifting Softball About all I have time for right now :'(

I have social anxiety too but I made a promise to myself a long time ago to face it head on and stop letting it decide my life for me. My advice just take the plunge. People like us prepare for the worst and it's never as bad as we think it will be. Once that first session is over it will be a breeze. When you go to fill…

Tough choice but I'd probably go with Fruity... ever tried mixing them? Not so good.... :s

I workout in the evening after work. I currently use C4 because it's fast and gets my blood flowing and helps me stick to my schedule. But it's not necessary. Alot of people just drink black coffee to achieve the same effect. If you do go the way of a PWO like C4 make sure you start with small doses. It can have quite the…
-
Yea 200 is a pretty good ballpark number for a 25 minute workout. To be safe only eat back like 50-60% of the cals burned until you get a good gauge of your weight loss. If the weight starts coming off to fast then you can start eating back more. And vice versa.
-
Ahh in that case then do you own any other programs that you can make a hybrid with? There are a ton on Google of P90X mixed with Body Beast or T25 type hybrids. http://www.teambeachbody.com/get-fit/fitness-tools/workout-sheets ^ The Beachbody site even offers so great hybrid plans and workout sheets for you. And wow..…
-
Both are great programs for assisting weight loss if your diet is in check. Like Jeremy said though Chalene is chaotic. T25 is much more structured and easier to follow and is more balanced IMHO.
-
You should def follow the designed workout structure for your first time through. It's systematically designed for maximum results. If after the first run through you want to do it again or do it as a hybrid with another program so it mixes things up that's fine. But I think you should do a legit run through the first time.

Kick Boxing or Krav Maga. The resistance of beating on something is so stress relieving and pushes me to the edge of my cardio tolerance like nothing else I've ever tried including Insanity. Plus your learning how to defend yourself at the same time.
-
Even a good HRM is only going to give you a ballpark number to work with. If it's steady state cardio it could be pretty accurate, if it's circuits or HIIT could be up to like 25% off. I used to do it that way and then just eat back half of my earned calories. But eventually I just switched to the TDEE method and now I…

I eat it PB almost every day with my morning snack. Just have to make sure I stay within the allotted serving size that fits into my daily goal. If you don't deprive yourself of it you might be less likely to binge when you actually do have it.

Depends on the day. The nights I have Krav Maga I eat a heavy lunch and a lite dinner after class. Normal days light lunch and heavy dinner after my workouts.
