If you've done Insanity and Asylum you will be fine. Only difference is the warm ups are condensed and the stretching periods have been omitted to fit it into 30 mins. Also the water breaks are shorter. Alot of new moves but all on the same level of Insanity. Nothing to be nervous about. My best advice... stretch the hell…

I'm sure I will struggle with the second vid. Luckily with this program Sat and Sun are off days. Although I end up using Sat as an upper body arms/weights day. Sunday I do the pulse during halftime of the football game. :)

I threw in T25 Speed 2.0 yesterday. Needed the cardio after the big Xmas lunch. Back on schedule today will double up Friday Fight and Tabata.

Total Body is by far the hardest video in Alpha. Just modify take it slow and make sure your form is correct. Especially on the tap pushups and spider lunges

In a way it is. Most of those original Insanity vids had like 12 total mins of stretching and longer water breaks. Seems to me like to make these Max 30 vids they just decided to cut out the stretching segments and cut down the water breaks a little bit. Went ahead and did the Tabata Strength tonight. About as tough as the Tabata Power but different circuits. Alot of pushups... V's, diamonds, wides. Damn that guy must be really pushing himself. He's constantly hitting 500+ cals burned in those vids. My highest burn yet has been around 480. Either that or his HRM is very liberal compared to mine lol

I just take a mental note of the time I maxed out and you write it on the calendar at the end of the workout. Basically "maxing out" is the point you can no longer go 100% and need to modify, your form breaks, or you need to stop for rest. The goal is to improve your max out time every time you do the vid. My wife and I wore a hole in the rugs we had in our basement doing T25 and Insanity. I ended up buying these: Can get them at Dicks Sporting Goods. A little pricey but better then replacing the carpets. Helps with all the jumping type stuff too. Less impact.

Really need to stretch out your calf muscles before and during that cardio video. Just so much jumping my calfs are like rocks after the warmup alone. Friday Fight was by far the hardest video of the week. I maxed at about 8 mins. Started out good then hit the in and out abs in plank. Looked at my HRM and I was at 165. I've never hit that high even with Insanity. I was impressed.

Yea they run to the board when they max out to write down their time. It doesn't distract me much. Shaun T does alot of talking in these like T25 and Insanity. I personally like Tony Horton better (I think he's funny plus we are both from Rhode Island :smile: )

Todays workout... Sweat Intervals certainly lived up to it's name. Only other vid that makes me sweat this much is Insanity pure cardio and Max Cardio conditioning. I was done at the end of this video today. 425 cals burned in 30 mins!

Yea it is. Glad Bungie is shutting them down. I'm not so good at the Crucible. I'm decent at checkpoint but the other modes I get merced in pretty bad.

Nothing in P90X3 will push you to the brink of cardio like Insanity. P90X3 was designed and marketed as an intermediate Beach Body program, Insanity is advanced. Agree about the Destiny storyline. I've done it twice and I still have no idea what's going on. But as far as an MMO it's a decent game. I'm going to wait until the first DLC to decide if I am going to abandon it or not. Having a good bit of fun grinding with the group of people I play with every night still.

I still do the double Fridays as well because I got so used to it during T25. Usually whatever P90 video is that day I pick a video to compliment it. I even do a T25 video sometimes as my second. I'm not a big fan of the yoga or pilates so sometimes I swap those out for a T25 or Insanity video too.

You have to make custom exercise entries for each vid. I use a calorie counter and just log the actual results. Trying to guesstimate you could be way off. Typically in a high activity vid like Agility X I burn 350-385 calories. Where a lower activity vid like Total Synergistic I only burn 200-225. So it can be a big…
