I used to drink a Diet Coke every single day. It's officially been three weeks since my last one, and I haven't even craved it! Water and zero calorie teas are my new best friends. I perform better at the gym now, too, and I'd like to think this has a lot to do with it.

Salsa. When I make avocado toast, I always add a little salsa to it to give it that extra "umph" of flavor without adding too many cals. Try adding some garlic/onion powder to the avocado too. It should help.

I like to make a "knock off" egg mcmuffin. Get a whole wheat English muffin (~100 cals) and toast it. Cook one egg any way you like it in some no cal butter spray (can't tell a difference in that and actual butter taste-wise). Add a sprinkle of cheese and sliced tomatoes- and you're all set! Under 350 cals and fills me up…

I said no to dessert tonight and ate broccoli instead! It's a small victory, but damn did it feel good.

30 Day Shred is on YouTube for free, and it only lasts ~23 minutes. You'll be POURING sweat by the end of it, but it's great to do at home with very little equipment and time.

I'm caffeine insensitive and perpetually exhausted (due to a medial reason; I get excess amounts of sleep!) so I can't just drink a coffee before my workout and get going (I already drink 2+ cups a day with little effect). I started with a preworkout exorbitantly high on caffeine, and I hated it. Now I use Vintage Blast-…

I'd say the rush is that she's a single mom trying to cram everything into a day (drop offs, pick ups, work, house chores, exercise, meal prep, sleep, actually raising a kid alone). Not cool to tell her what she "should" be doing when I bet she has the bases covered there, buddy ole pal. She just wants some quick recipes,…

I had the same problem for the first two weeks after changing my diet! Now I add a teaspoon of glucomannan (konja root) to my morning protein shakes for fiber. It has REALLY helped me stay full and be regular every day. It's also flavorless and affordable.

I lift 4-5 times a week, full cardio only one day (hiking with my dog or bike riding the levee on Saturdays) with Sunday being my rest day. If my body feels weak, I also take a rest day. I believe that if it tells me to slow down, I should. I'm not trying to get insanely quick results, just sustainable ones! The last thing…

Sorry if the photos are huge, but that's my two week progress. Clearly I have a lot to go! But it just goes to show how different you can look at the same exact weight.

@ronjsteele1 I agree. My weight is definitely impacted by water weight a lot more, especially since I just started back at lifting. It goes up, back to 198, up, back to 198 with not much change lower. So I decided to not look at the scale much anymore, and now I'm not so stressed. Getting fit has gotten fun again! Even…

@Chadxx thanks! I actually did some of those the last time I was at the gym (for the first time)! I tend to watch for what a lot of people are doing, then copy it with the best form I can. You'd think since I'm an anatomy teacher I would've realized that's for triceps! Currently I do the machine for legs that moves the…

I go to planet fitness. It's not the best gym in the world, but it's all I can afford right now! So I'm doing what I can there. Oh, I usually finish with a steep incline walk for ~10 minutes as well. I do some biceps curls with 12 lbs weights every other day, but I'm not sure that's the best. I also don't do many of them.…

I use Mr. Hyde right now. It has a good initial burst of energy for me (or so I believe), but I find myself crashing about an hour into my workout with incessant yawning. I eat right, sleep a good amount, but I have PCOS so my energy levels lag. I'm not caffeine sensitive either (I drink 5-6 cups of coffee a day), so I…

I have had the Fitbit surge for two years. It's very accurate and easy to use! I would recommend.

The fact that no matter how much I lose, I still have a lingering fear this weight loss isn't real. Maybe it will come back tomorrow... I know it's not true, but it's hard to change your mental reality about yourself as quickly physical changes occur.

Hello! My name is Victoria. I've had PCOS for nearly 6 years, and I've gained almost 70 lbs in that span of time. I was always put on metformin and sprinolatone, but never really stuck with them longer than a month. However, I now see other changes in my body that are 100% caused by the PCOS that have caused me to start…

Nothing crazy, but caramelized "fried" honey bananas make this oatmeal A+ after a long day of chasing toddlers

Tonight was skillet sweet potatoes and chicken. So good that the ketchup wasn't even needed :#

Hello, I'm Victoria from Tennessee. If I had been tracking my weight as long as I've been out, maybe I'd already be down to the weight I want to be ;) 22 y/o 5'7 SW: 225 CW: 180 GW: 155

I use PB2 Chocolate in overnight oats (add bananas, almond milk, PB2 chocolate and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Add honey in the morning and eat up!), or I drizzle it over a caramel rice cake with bananas and cinnamon for a sweet treat. You can also add it to plain yogurt, dip bananas in the powder, sprinkle it over…

Dunkin' Donuts coffee with extra cream and sugar can't be beat, but I've long since gave up on trying to justify that in my calorie goals. Now I make a vanilla french roast and add some truvia and almond milk. I know a lot of people don't do truvia well, but it works for me. Can't beat <40 cals either!

Before my college weight gain, I weighed 150 at 5'7. I worked out over two hours every single day and played sports competitively, so even at that weight I looked as small as I will ever feel comfortable looking. My butt was the biggest thing on me then lol. That's my goal weight for now, even though I know I will probably…

I'm in my 9th and final semester of college here. Can't wait to be as small receiving my college diploma as I was for my high school one.

I usually do a plain bean chili since I'm a college kid on a budget. It normally comes out to five dollars or less for the whole pot, while still being low cal and filling. However, I made a pumpkin chili recipe yesterday. It was so good! And still super cheap and simple. 1/2 onion, diced minced garlic to taste 1/2 cup…

Taco stuffed zucchini boats for me tonight. A favorite!

I'm currently in college and struggle with this as well. The best thing to do as far as shopping for "healthy" food is to scout out the places closest to you. Is there an Aldi's? A Save-A-Lot? Food Lion? These tend to be the cheapest, but Walmart is an okay alternative. Also, try to buy fruits and veggies that are in…

It hasn't been too long since I was living the dorm life, so I understand the struggle! Not only is it hard to manage without a lot of appliances, having a tight budget really doesn't help (can't wait to graduate in December!). I made a lot of pasta at first, but that isn't always the easiest on the waistline I soon found…

Thank you guys so much! I ended up roasting it and adding a little bit of butter and light brown sugar once it was done. It was actually soooo good. Much better than the sweet potato casserole (complete with marshmallows--bleh!) that we have every holiday. I'm glad I finally gave them a chance! Looks like they'll…
