I lost 5 lbs this week. I'm a little stunned. I honestly didn't keep up with working out but I did log everything and I was under my calories every day this week. And I majorly increased my water intake.

Hey ladies. I'm 28 years old, 5'1 and my current weight is 218. The highest I've ever been was about 230 lbs and my goal is 120ish. I joined MFP a long time ago and it worked for me ...until I stopped counting and then of course I backtracked. I recently learned about some pretty scary cancer history on my dad's side of…

Day 2 was hit & miss for me. I did log everything and I was under my calorie goal. I did increase my water intake. I haven't had any alcohol. I did not make it to the gym though. I went to bed really late and when the alarm went off at 5:30 am I just couldn't make myself get up. There have been a few times when my stomach…

Day 1 finished! Exercise:Went to the gym early before work and walked/jogged/c25k for 30 minutes. Logging: Logged everything (even the cheese cubes I grabbed out of the fridge and ate before I realized what I was doing) and managed to stay under goal. I made my lunch for tuesday & logged that early. Water: I increased my…

No weigh in for me this week. I'm at my parents' house for the holidays and they don't have a scale. Also its probably a good idea to give my body some distance from the eating that happened on Thanksgiving.

Thanks Joe! this has really been a helpful challenge to me and I'd love for it to keep going. My weight for Friday was 208.8 lbs.

Kaklum: Is it when you get home from work that you start eating? What happens after 5 that's different from the rest of the day? I can be really bad about boredom eating if I'm reading a book or sitting in front of the tv. It helps me to do something with my hands to keep them busy, otherwise they'll be putting food in my…

This was a good week! I lost 3.6 lbs which brings me down to 211.2 lbs. That's always a good way to start the day.

Posts like these are the best kind of motivation. Reading your story gave me goosebumps and a light fizzy feeling I think just might be hope. I can't wait for the day when this is going to be my story. Thank you for sharing!

Hi everyone. I would love to join this challenge. Most of the other challenge threads I've come across are closed groups, which is frustrating. I think it will be a great motivational tool, especially with all the holidays coming up (Halloween aka Stuff Your Face with Candy Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) I'm 5'1 SW: 230 CW: 215…

I'm 5'1 and my current weight is 215. My ultimate goal weight is 120-130 lbs. I've had trouble sticking with it but this time around I think I've found a secret weapon. Every time I get discouraged I log on and look at success story before/after pics. They kick my butt into gear each time. Anyone feel free to add me as a…

Welcome Seafrost! Keri, way to go on your C25K progress! That is amazing. I am so sorry for you loss. I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts. I've been doing well with sticking to my calories goals until til today. I'm a children's librarian and today at work we had 2 summer reading end parties. 1 for the kids…

Just saved a bunch of these to my computer to use as backgrounds and screensavers. Thanks for all the inspiration.

Hi all! So I've been gone for what feels like forever. So much has happened since the last time I posted or even checked into mpf for the matter. I graduated from grad school, moved to a different city, went on a cruise, oh and completely fell off the dieting wagon. I went right back up to my starting weight erasing all…

Hi everyone, I sorry to be MIA for so long. The first week I was gone was because I was slacking off, not keeping up with my calories, and just letting Easter derail my diet in general. But lately it has been for an entirely different reason. I live in Tuscaloosa, AL and I don't know if you've been watching the news but we…

SW:3/1/11 - 230(estimate) 3/15/11 - 218 4/1/11 - 213.8 (-4.2 lbs) 4/15/11 - 210.1 lbs (-3.7) I'm so glad I finally set up my wii fit. I feel like my arms are going to fall out of their sockets from the rhythmic boxing but I'm actually enjoying burning calories. Pam - congrats on your impending anniversary, I know you can…

Awesome NSV Pam. And congratulations Barb on hitting the 160s, that's amazing not to mention inspiring. Sorry, I didn't mean to vanish. I was out of town for a week at a Children's Book Conference and all calorie counting went out the window. I excuse some of it as luncheons provided by the conference were out of my…

SW:3/1/11 - 230(estimate) 3/15/11 - 218 4/1/11 - 213.8 (-4.2 lbs) I'm pretty happy with this number. I haven't been working out just counting my calories this month. But I just got my wii fit Thursday so I'll be able to workout at night whenever I'm done with school. My current goal is to be under 200 when I graduate,…

I can't wait to try the lasagna. I would also recommend another thread on the recipe board "slow cooker salsa chicken."

I must try this, I wonder if it tastes just as good with almond milk instead of skim.

I've been struggling with eating out. The past 2 times (Olive Garden and O'Charley's) I've ended up eating more calories at 1 meal then I'm supposed to for the entire day. And then I see all the progress I've made on the scale disappear in one night. I know what I should order but somehow I always get off track. I really…

YAY! I'm so glad you joined. We can be support buddies. But you know what this means right... eating less at the FIG :-(

Hi, I saw your topic thread on the message boards and was hoping to join your support group. I'm 5'1 and my start weight when I joined MFP about 10 days ago was 225 lbs. My ultimate goal weight is 120, so I have 105 lbs. to lose. I'm 26 and currently in my last 3 months of grad school. I also work as a children's librarian…
