5'2" and started at 280. I'm down to 247 with 12 1/2" gone! I have been dieting since about July 7. I'm happy with that. All though I would prefer it to go faster! Yup, right there with ya! As been said, we all have bad days. It may be eating what we shouldn't or just flat not wanting to exercise. Focus on the big picture -- being healthy. If we keep trying, we will get there!

Sometimes it depends on how much you have to loose. I need to loose about 75-100 pounds. So, it took about a month for me. It seems like about every 20-25 pounds I can tell a good difference. So far, I have lost about 35 pounds and about 7 inches. One complete jean size (24 down to 22) and I have been dieting since July 7.

Journal EVERYTHING. No matter how small, even if it's a "free" food (fresh veggies have very few calories) and water intake. I really try to flush my system everyday; drinking about 100 ozs of water a day. I do include tea (1/2 green tea & 1/2 reg tea) but I make sure I drink more water than tea. I still haven't found a…

Eve23----me too. I started at 280 on July 7. Lost down to 246 but have gained 3 pounds on vacation. I have been doing really well since I got off vacation!

I drink about a total of 100 ozs of water/tea every day. If you take vitiamns, they can dicolor your urine also. I go back and forth on the tea thing. Everyday, I make sure I get more water than tea (and my tea is a mixture of green tea and reg tea). When I eat out, I always try and drink extra water the next day.

I too weigh most days but it can be unmotivating at times. I feel it does help me to keep from a larger weight gain but at the same time bugs me when I have been doing really well and still show a gain. I don't know, it's really what ever works for you. :) okiemoma
