The diary does have this section. You can click "add note" just like "add food."

Carbs are important in a diet and I do no advise going low carb, but going high carb/low protein is also a bad idea. In weight loss, protein is actually the most important macronutrient because it prevents weight loss from being muscle. A high protein diet will allow the weight that is lost to be mostly fat. DO NOT make…

Yeah, I suppose that is the technical term for them. They are a very good glute move! I am always so sore afterward!!! A trainer showed them to be when I first started lifting and since then I have had a love/hate relationship with them (love because they work, hate because I get so sore)!

I find that elevated split leg squats work wonders. I squat heavy several times a week, but only when I do the split leg squats do I feel the burn exclusively in my glutes. To do these, put one leg up on a bench and squat using just the leg on the ground (with dumbbells in your hand or barbell on your shoulders). Do theses…

NONE of the above is necessary! I am sure it is just water weight! There is no way you have been gaining 4-5 pounds of actual weight a day eating 3280 calories a day. 1 pound=3500 calories, so in order to gain that much you would have to eat 14000-17500 calories a day OVER your maintenance level (pretty much impossible).…

"No male is bulking at 2100 calories. Most women wont even bulk that low." You do not know his body. I am a woman bulking at about 1950 because I have a deal job. 2100 seems low, but it may not be for him. I would suggest gradual increases to get to a surplus because only you know your body. Speaking from experience, I was…

I did use that to get an idea. It says I should bulk at about 2100 calories, but I feel like on non workout days that is a very high surplus and on workout days it is a really small one.

I have a Microsoft Fitness bands, that is where I get my mantainence calories and workout calories

ndj, that is why I said it can be cardio-like depending on how you do it. I am an aspiring powerlifter. My workouts are nowhere close to cardio. I was just stating that it could be. I understand that this is a muscle building forum so most everyone one here is using (or should use) progressive overload.

Lifting can be a cardio activity, depending on the way you are doing it (you still need to take into account the calories you burn while lifting). Fitbits also track the amount to calories burned in a day, a good number to know if you are trying to build muscle. I have a Microsoft Fitwatch that have a lot of the same…

Thank you Richln.. this is exactly what I was looking for! I was not 100% thrilled with the layout of the 5x5 and thought that I was a little too advanced for that. I will most likely be looking into the Jonnie Candito's Linear Program now. That has more of a focus on what I need. Thanks again!!!

My mom quit using that medication. It worked great (hasn't smoked since), but said the dreams were just ridiculously weird...
