I'm standing right along side of you! Not new to MFP but definitely starting over. I did go in and delete all my previous weight entries and I'm happy to at least see that I am down 10 lbs from this time last year!

Hi all - just stumbled upon this thread. I too have close to 100 to lose. Let's just say 100 would be ideal, but I would be happy with 80. This is not my first rodeo with weight loss. I do well, then fall so far off the wagon it takes off without me! The good news for me this time around, my husband has been on board with…

Hi Hazzaram and Holly... I am much older than you, but pretty much in the same situation. I was diagnosed with RA AND Lupus about 5 years ago. I went into a depression spiral and put on about 40 pounds that I had worked very hard to get off. Even then, I was still overweight at 215 pounds. Now I am back up to 245. I…

I'm in too! I have been toying with different dieting ideas... isagenix, low carb, high protein, fasting, etc. I've finally decided I'm just going to count my calories and drink my water! I have close to 75 to lose as well. But I will be happy with just 50! Sign me up to join your support group! I'm there!

Hi all - is this still an active group? I'm on Jenny too! I've joined their community forums as well, (FYI concordancia, they DO have a site), but I'm primarily on this one, so I'd love to connect with any of MFPers who do do Jenny.

Don't mistake my last sentence... I truly believe RA and Lupus are very serious. The point I was trying to make is that I don't have the reactions that someone with celiac disease has when I eat gluten. I'm just still trying to decipher what I can, and can not have. I would rather eat clean foods than run out and buy every…

Soooo, I'm assuming I'm too late to join in? I always seem to find the challenges AFTER they've already started. I was so excited to see one that hadn't started yet!

I'm experiencing this similar pain right now. Because I've had 2 previous surgeries on this particular ankle, I decided to have a doctor check it out... turns out I have tendonitis. A little bit of rest and some really good achilles stretches are helping get it back into shape. Follow the advice you've been given here…

For what it's worth, that has been happening to me as well. I was told my one of the fitness instructors at the gym that the old adage "muscle weighs more than fat" is true -- so I shouldn't be too thrown by that minor gain on the scale. I figure it's all going to catch up at some point. For a little morale boost in the…

I don't know about the health benefits, but I do credit it with helping a little in my weight loss. For one thing, when I'm craving some kind of snack in that late afternoon slump, I've found brewing a cup of green tea and pouring it over ice really solves my problem! I figure if I'm drinking my iced green tea instead of…

I didn't post every week, but I can say I did accomplish one of my goals -- to get moving again! I joined a gym one week after joining this challenge. And I'm happy to say that I have gone at least twice a week, most times four times a week, ever since. So yeah, my scale has been a little wonky, but I'm learning that is to…

You are doing so awesome! I did check with my gym and they offered a free "health assessment" which meant they weighed me, told me my bodyfat (obese - duh) and told me that I could reach my weight goals by reducing my bodyfat (again, duh). But unfortunately, that was the extent of it. They have called me multiple times…

My bar drink of choice is usually vodka soda with lime… about 200 calories  (Unless you can find a bar with diet soda). But then I read an article that said champagne was the lowest calorie drink at about 90 calories per glass. So depending on the situation, I get champagne when I can. It takes me a LONG time to drink…

Hi there! I just celebrated my 50th birthday. I've had a little epiphany or something, because I'm all about the health thing now. I guess having your birthday - and such a milestone one at that! - changes your perspective on a lot of things! I joined MFP awhile back, but really never got into it. I never had any "friends"…

I'm so happy to find a challenge that I can join at the beginning -- instead of halfway through! My goals: - Log all my food, even the bad & ugly - Make it to the gym 3 days a week and complete an intense workout - Pre-plan every meal - Get organized (this one may sound weird, but if I am organized, I don't have to stress…

Yay! I finally found a challenge I can join that's on day one! SW - 232 4 week goal - 220 Overall goal - 170

Count me in as a "restart" today as well! I had to get past all the crazy holidays, my birthday (last week) and find myself in a place where I could start fresh! Feel free to friend me -- I definitly feed off of others' enthusiasm and successes! Ann

Just to update you all on my progress: (Yes, I changed my screen name and opened up a new account -- I really needed a reset on everything in my life) I have had four infusions of Benlysta. I stared with three "load in" doses that took place every other week. Now I am on a once a month infusion. The only side effects I've…
