Thank you Stef. I think I've enjoyed a little 'time off' where I really haven't watched what I've eaten but it's time to focus again. I too, got tired of eating little to create a deficit. Since I'm close to goal the difference between maintenance and deficit isn't very much. Best of luck to you too! Keep on keeping on is…

That's my fear. I get too comfortable and undo all my work. It's not the number so much as the few inches here and there that I would like to eliminate but I know the rough number is 5lbs.

Quote: What are your thoughts about eating maintenance for 2 weeks and then going for the last 5? Or eating maintenance-100 and getting there in half a year? I'm struggling with getting back to a deficit and not doing maintenance. I guess I'm settling right now and struggling for that last leg.

I am lifting, I know I want to focus on body composition more however, I've just started using up all those "extra" calories I wasn't using before to keep a deficit. I've been eating bowls of ice cream, eating out and a whole slew of unhealthy choices the last few weeks. I just need to re-focus on my healthy habits that I…

Ice cream. I save enough calories to have a little bowl of it after dinner with frozen strawberries. Satisfies all my sweet cravings, stays under my calories and I've managed to steadily lose at about 1lb a week average. All "crap" food isn't evil and won't kill you, won't even kill your diet. I'm not going to live the…

I've never tried infused water, I'll have to look into it. Thank you! I love the Mio Strawberry Watermelon, I have that in my desk drawer right now with the Peach Tea! :-) They are $.99 at my local Grocery Outlet right now so I kind of stocked up. I don't drink alcohol or anything else really so I figured it couldn't be…

Frozen strawberries. Sooooo addicted to them. I like to cut them up and eat them frozen. I usually like to mix in sugar free Jell-O fudge pudding too.

Edamame is a great source of protein! They sell 12 individually packed bags within an outer bag at Costco. You can throw them in the microwave to steam them or I prefer to eat them frozen. They are very high in protein and very filling. I use Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein in my breakfast smoothies. It is a…

My suggestion would be not to focus so much on the scale, as you state you are a healthy weight, but focus more on measurements, inches and muscle. It is possible you won't lose any more pounds, maybe even gain a couple of muscle but feel and look better than ever. You should be focusing on body composition and not losing…

I use protein powder in a breakfast smoothie. I use 1/2 cup milk (almond milk works too), 1/2 cup of yogurt (Greek yogurt for even more protein if you like, I just use light and fit mostly), 1 cup frozen fruit (usually strawberries) and a scoop of protein powder. It helps me hit my macros and keeps me full all morning. I…

I love sugar free chocolate fudge pudding with frozen strawberries cut up. I love frozen strawberries! I pair them with any sweet I'm craving, only 50 calories for 1 cup.

I like the Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein - Chocolate and Peanut Butter. I use my Magic Bullet, put 1/2 cup low cal yogurt (you can use Greek for more protein but also more calories), 1/2 cup fat free milk (you can use Almond milk too), 1 cup frozen strawberries (you can use fresh fruit or any frozen fruit, I…

I, too, had a little tumble off the wagon so to say this past week. My problem is I ran out of my normal sweet-tooth snacks and turned to the real stuff, chocolate! On top of the fact it was my time of the month, the cravings for salt, fat and sugar along with bloating and pain...I just chalked this last week up to a fail…

The best way to look at it is on a weekly average. Let's say your maintenance is 2,000 calories a day or 14,000 a week. Add up what you ate for the week and subtract any burned for your balance. If you have less than 14.000 then you will loose weight that week, more than 14,000 you will gain or if you are at 14,000 you…

I got my first one for similar reasons, however, I also had endometriosis. I had surgery for the endo and the same time as my first placement. The first few years were great, but slowly my horrible pain and period symptoms started coming back. I didn't notice any hormone wearing off towards the end of my first 5 years…

Just curious, what cleanse do you use from AdvoCare?

For me it's more about how I feel about myself. My husband has found me attractive and can't keep his hands off me from over a 25lb swing. However, when I'm heavier I feel less attractive and it makes it harder for me to be sexy. He's put on some weight since we got married but it doesn't bother me like the weight I put on…

Frozen edamame from Costco. They come in handy per serving pouches. You can microwave them in the pouch to steam them but I LOVE them frozen. 1/2 pack a mid-morning snack, 1/2 pack afternoon snack. Yum!!!

I'll occasionally eat at maintenance, which *feels* like a cheat day maybe once every other week. I you have to look at averages. I'm still at a deficit for the week and my scale has steadily gone down. I think it helps keep my metabolism from getting bored and keeps it guessing. Even when I eat at maintenance though, I…

I have a desk job too but to help break up the 'sitting' I make a point to get out of my chair every 15 mins. I go into the copy room (no security cameras) and do squats in sets of 40-50. I track my trips up and down the two flights of stairs by my desk and set a goal of at least 10 times a day. I make it a game and every…

Thank you everyone for the advice. Generally I wouldn't feel so much pressure but I wanted to get back to my wedding weight by my anniversary and I'm so close, so is the date! But I do think I need to re-evaluate my calories. 1200-1400 sounds like a good variable to stick between at least for the next 5lbs then I'll slowly…

I think it really depends on your frame. I weigh the same as a girl at work and she looks tiny for a curvier frame, I need to lose some. I'm currently 132, I was 142 8 weeks ago. I aim to be 125ish. I went down to 120 with a medium build and people were literally asking me if I was sick, so for me a steady 125 would be…

I agree with most posters, lean protein! I love Edamame (soy beans) for a snack and I start my day with a Whey protein shake, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, frozen fruit and 1 scoop (30g protein). It takes less than 5 mins for me to throw it in my Magic Bullet and take it with me. It feels like I'm eating ice cream too but…

Hello. I would suggest maybe changing your title to get more people to read/comment. It sounds like you are on the right track. How long have you been at it? It can take your body a good month to adjust to any changes in routine you are making. When getting back into shape I typically won't see much, if any results, for a…

You can not physically gain that much FAT in 2 days. Stick to your once a week weighing. Flux throughout the week is completely normal. Sodium WILL make you retain water. Drink 100oz or so of water a day to flush it and sit in a sauna if you have one. But remember to replenish your water. You need to drink water every time…
