FYI: HRM off the exercise machines are really inaccurate, do not trust, don't even use them!!

i eat a lot of egg whites, you can buy them in cartons (like a mini milk carton) high proteins, low cal. Dont be afraid to eat a BIG breakfast, I easily go 5-600 calories and i'm here too loose weight, I think you could go all the way to 800. another thin you can do is go and buy P90X, it comes with a nutritionnal plan, and i've seen the result on some of my friends it's pretty impressive!! If your looking for definition it's a great way to start!

1200 is the cut off for women, men is 1600 I beleive...and looking too thin and unhealthy is just as bad as beeing the fat kid. You say you want to gain muscle, I'd eat at least 1800 calories a day + your exercise calories if I were you. Otherwise you wont be able to build muscle as fast as you wish....

If you find a "Running room" in your locality, they also offer running clinics, Begginners, building up to 5k, building up to 1/2 marathon ect...they also have free running groups at all lvl, they get together at a local spot once a week and just go running as a group! IT's so much more motivating than running alone!!

I have the same problem!! I think the solution (for me anyway) Is complete detox for a while...NO SWEETS IN THE HOUSE!! Or just enough that the kids eat them all up before I can say "I want some!" I also drink sweet tea to calm the urge and it's worlking so far... Good luck! JF

just for kicks....try eating your workout calories for a week and see the results....the deficit on mfp is precalculated in your calorie goals, I've been eating ALL my calories, including the extra exercises ones, and loosing AT LEAST 3 lbs a week for the last 3 weeks, my best week I lost 7! You can get an assessment of your shoes in a good sport-shoe store, it will usualy be free. Make sure you pick a reputable place like The Running Room, I've been to 2 different ones and they are usualy very honnest. They also sell everything related to running so you would find socks there too for sure, check them out…
