  • Hellloo! I too have an 8 week target so I will most definitely join you. :) I have taken a wee break from using this but am back for good in a bid to drop 10 pounds 8 weeks so I can be a slim birthday girl on my 21st, which I think is a good goal to have! Just some advice: I would make sure you weigh yourself ONLY once a…
  • Well done you! Shopping is a great way to track progress! Enjoy your new wardrobe! xxx
  • Weighed myself today just as a matter of interest and was only up 0.4 lbs since last week! I was expecting a lot worse since I'm right in the middle of my period... here's to a good loss next Saturday! :)
  • Welcome to MFP! Don't hesitate to give me an add - I love to chat and stay motivated on this tough journey we've all embarked on! xx
  • I'm enjoying how PUN-TASTIC this thread is, folks! Cheering me up, ha ha.
  • Takes the notion of "burning" off those calories to a WHOLE different level! Sad to hear no attractive firemen were called to the scene... Hee hee.
  • My mum used to always power walk to Ladies & Gentlemen by George Michael - the "For the Feet" disc! I think it's pretty self-evident why! :) xx
  • Thanks for the advice folks... think I'll give this week a miss until I'm feeling a little more myself! Off to fill up my hot water bottle! xx
  • All I would say is that "variety is the spice of life" when it comes to exercising... varying your activities can keep your interest levels, thus encouraging you to get up of your bum and get into gear! As much as I think the Wii Fit is a great resource (however limited my knowledge of it is), there is nothing better than…
  • Major congrats on the leg improvements! I could do with some of that, ha ha. Do you drink instant coffee? And if so, what decaf brands are good? xxx
  • Thanks guys for all your comments and advice... I will take them all on board! I think I'm just trying to run before I can walk. Another question: because I give myself Saturdays off the gym to let my body rest, I should only eat 1200 on those days, right? xxxx
  • Couldn't agree more! Some of my friends don't notice cause they see me more or less every day... but I'm excited to go home from university around Easter to see if my parents will say anything! xxx
  • I recommend herbal teas like Camomile & Spearmint before you go to bed; it may just be my imagination but I'm pretty sure a cup of that helps me off to the land of nod quicker than usual! Plus 0 cals - woop! Sweet dreams! x
  • Keep your chin up! My main advice is to always make sure your calories are as close to 1200 as you can, and rather eat 50 cals more than 50 cals less... when you are doing that much exercise, your body may be holding onto its energy (or fat), wondering when its next meal will be, thus no weight loss. Don't get disheartened…
  • Head to bed and look forward to breakfast! x
  • From one Scot to another - all the best with your weight loss! Kx
  • Congrats for your loss! Keep up the good work! This site is truly fabulous, yes... I think the first step to losing weight is being HONEST about every little thing you eat during the day and recording it, which this site makes it so easy to do. :) Kx
