You can't eliminate both dairy and wheat at the same time because then you won't know which one is causing problems. If you remove both and you feel better then you'll just think it's both without actually knowing if it's both. When doing an elimination diet, you need to eliminate ONE thing at a time so you know what thing…

Contrary to popular belief, there's nothing wrong with saturated fat. To make a long story short, the current belief that saturated fats are bad are based on awful epidemiological studies. Recent meta-analyses have concluded that the idea of saturated fat being bad for one's health is simply not true. Now, on tracking fat.…

It's nothing like that ... at all.

And they say you get wiser as you get older!

Only one has been proven to work and that's EC stack. The brand name stuff is extremely expensive garbage. Save your money. A caloric deficit is your best friend. If you need a thermogenic then go on EC stack but do so by following proper guidelines since some people have adverse reactions to it.

Ok. And I'm asking you if something that has lemon, salt, or vinegar is not clean because you said clean is something that has no preservatives.

Awesome thread, man. Great advice you're giving out!

I mostly shop based on sales and this is what I look for: - Russet, New, Red, Yellow and Sweet potatoes - Chicken: Drumsticks, Thighs, and Chicken Breast (either skin on or skin off) - Extra Lean Ground Beef - Steaks: Top Sirloin, New York Strip - Chocolate - Lactose-free Milk - Frozen and fresh vegetables: usually blends…

Lemon, salt, and vinegar are preservatives. Are they not clean?

Bodybuilding snacks is kind of a strange way to put it. What macronutrients do you need to fill the most? Protein and carbs? Do you need fat in them? Protein is the hardest for me, so whey shakes are pretty standard. I'm also a big fan of beef jerky (don't fear sodium unless you're sodium sensitive). Other stuff I like…

Of course it's subjective because it will change from person to person. The point is that they should LEARN to be reasonable. As I have stated many, many, many times on these forums, flexible dieters always succeed more than strict dieters (people who remove foods instead of living with them within moderation). Someone who…

Eating clean is ambiguous. There are 101 foods that are omitted by your definition of what constitutes clean. Whey and tofu are examples that come to mind instantly. Also, no, it's not a fact. You're excluding it from the context of a person's diet. The USDA has something called discretionary calories, which allows extra…

Process of elimination. The studies that showed breakfast to be superior did not have many controls, so the conclusions were obscured. The point is that it can be optional. There are people who intermittent fast (including myself). I haven't ate in the morning in over a year. I eat at noon, every single day. The scarce…

Contrary to popular belief, there is no advantage to eating breakfast. You don't need to learn to eat it.

Negativity or logic and rationality? Paleo individuals are some of the most brainwashed folks ever.

It's not a question of whether it'll bad or not but rather whether it will make a difference. Ultimately, it makes no difference assuming someone is intelligent enough to be reasonable. Read my last line of my last post. I mentioned biological deficiency. In a completely healthy individual, they can eat junk food (within…

The only way you can know if you're allergic to those things is either through testing or examining your responses to them when you eat them and then their eventual elimination. The problem with elimination phases is that you will most likely lose weight from restricting certain food sources resulting in lower calories. As…

That link is just awful. The whole site is just based on silliness. She has no clue what she's talking about. I commend her for capitalizing on the ignorance of the general public to make a profit by creating "clean" dishes but, really, it's just nonsense. How can you attribute it to clean eating when you started…

First, dosage is important, of course. A box of twinkies is certainly devoid of micronutrients but just saying a box of twinkies means very little. How does it fit in the scope of a single year? If someone has three boxes of twinkies a year, are you going to tell me that he or she will be: (A) Obese and (B) Unhealthy? Your…

I'd recommend against it. First, the word "clean," at best, is ambiguous. You'll see 101 definitions, most of which don't agree and all of which are focused on food restriction. Second, it advocates restriction. It has been shown many times that flexible dieters are the most successful and restriction can cause many…

The amount of splenda you would need to make it dangerous is high. Anyone who tells you to avoid sucralose or other sweeteners are just using scare tactics. It's fine. Use it but don't go and have a giant bag everyday. I like using Splenda when making food components that only require sweetness (such as Apple Pie,…

Honestly? You want the honest truth? I want her to have no appetite. Why? Because when we go to dinner, she can't finish her food and I get to eat it. I'm not even joking. I'm dead serious. My girlfriend and I have been together for almost 4 years and she is such a slow eater, quite thin, and gets full fast. I love, love,…

According to my research, there is no real known cause of binging but it is generally observed during or after restrictive dieting. Moral of the story? Stop attempting to restrict foods. The more you do, the more you want them. Healthy, unhealthy, processed, unprocessed. These are words to make you avoid foods. Everything…

There's actually a great cheesecake recipe that is super macro and calorie friendly. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141848361 It uses splenda but the entire thing is really, really filling. Read through the entire thread. You'll be shocked at some of the stuff people have made.

Care to share how a whole natural food is healthier than a processed food when you don't know the dosage? So you're saying 20g of broccoli is somehow healthier than 20g of milk chocolate? Healthier implies improvement to health. 20g of each wouldn't negatively or positively effect health in any way, shape or form. Now, we…

Processed foods =/= unhealthy. Something isn't healthier than another thing. Similarly, something isn't unhealthier than something else. McDonalds doesn't make healthy or unhealthy food. At the same time, grocery stores do not supply healthy or unhealthy food.

No, the definition of clean is, literally, "stupid." Clean = stupid. It's an awful word and your attempt at defining it just makes my heart ache because clean is just a bad, bad word. Drop it from your vocabulary. The word clean omits many, many potentially good foods because it ends up being ambiguous and arbitrary. It's…

Chocolate. Best ... filler ... ever. Whenever I have no clue what to fill the rest of my calories with, I know that chocolate will save the day.

lol @ meatless burgers and no red meat on that list. Such a crock of what constitutes healthy.

Sprouted grains such as Ezekiel. They're far superior to any source of other breads. Complete protein, legit fibre, and low phytic acid content due to the sprouting process.
