Neither. Next. I was with you until the end. Not really true.

Steak x 1000. Any decent cut cooked rare and I'm a happy camper. Add white potatoes and chocolate milk then it's my perfect meal.

How would you feel if I told you that brown rice is no better than white rice? This is why I will always eat what I want.
-
- White is fine unless you need more fibre. If that's the case then you're better served to get it elsewhere than whole wheat stuff. Whole wheat products might arguably be the most overrated food product in the fitness community. I promise you won't live a shorter life if you eat white instead. - Why sub ground turkey for…

So what? If someone is getting sufficient Omega 3s in spite of one's meat consumption then who is to say that meat is negatively affecting one's health? There are tonnes of people who live long, healthy lives despite what is considered a subpar diet. Health is a complicated matter. I never meant to imply that food doesn't…

My goal is not to change your mind but rather push you to think more deeply about the matter. People who switch to vegan or vegetarianism for health reasons are simply not knowledgeable on the matters of health and how meat really effects it. It's difficult to sift through a lot of the garbage. This is a complicated matter…

The flexible one. You see grannies and gramps in newspapers talking about how they eat junk and all this crap and live well past 100. There's so much more to health than just food and people condemn too many foods and employ far too much restriction. With my diet, I'm reasonable. Unfortunately people need things spelled…

My personal favourite is Myofusion and that's mainly because of the flavour. Isoflex is alright but it wasn't as thick as Myo, which was a turn off for me. I won't consume any whey that has ion-exchanged proteins in it, so anything microfiltered and up is game for me. You can still buy GREAT cheap stuff. I take LeanFit…

I don't think there's anything unhealthy about the American Standard meal. I'm not sure why anyone thinks so. Maybe they're simply misinformed?
-
They're pretty ****ty diets.
-
I don't find this to be a bad myth or a myth at all.

lol @ dried fruit. Most dried fruit has a ridiculous amount of sugar. I'm not against sugar (I eat plenty) but it's not a particularly good low calorie option because of the sugar density. lol @ clif bars. Worst bars ever next to the lar bars (or are they called lara bars?). Most fruits can be quite dense but they are a…

- Foods are healthy and unhealthy - Low sodium reduces water retention (it actually increases aldosterone) - Sodium is the devil - Saturated fat is bad - Red meat is bad - Gotta drink a ton of water Those are the biggest ones or me.
-
There's nothing unhealthy about those places you listed, so I believe labelling them as "not the healthiest" is pretty pointless.

All this eating back calories and other stuff is such utter poop. I prefer to use the Mifflin-St Jeor calculator and work from there. If I don't lose then I reduce by 100 a week. If I'm losing too fast then I add 100 per week. Wow wee woo! Rocket science! People overcomplicate simple math. It's really no harder than that.

Pretty ****ty article. As for the thing I'm quoting, who cares about more fat and more sodium? Sure, more calories, but this only becomes an issue if this is a constant affair. The meals at a restaurant aren't unhealthy per say. The context is more important. How often is one eating these meals? And how often are they…

Quite difficult to exercise off a lot of calories. It's a vain attempt and pretty moot. People just need to learn to move on and live the next day. I just spent the last two weeks stuffing my face in the Dominican and what not. Not a singe pound was gained. Weight gain is quite gradual and rarely ever accumulated in a…

Care to share how fructose from fruit is different from fructose elsewhere? Fructose is fructose last time I checked.

I eat fast food and I'm probably healthier than anyone else here if we go by blood pressure and other various health markers. So, if fast food was truly unhealthy then my health markers should be bad but I've been eating this stuff for most of my life. Why aren't I dying?
-
Wow. I didn't even think there's anyone else who even knew this on MFP. Listen to what this guy says. He's a god damn genius.
-
Ghee isn't bad. Eat up.

So, you want her to produce more aldosterone? This is what happens when you reduce sodium too much and the result is more water retention since that is the function of aldosterone. If one were to maintain above-regular intake of sodium then the body would normalize and water retention would dissipate. Yes, sodium does…

-.- I addressed specific things so you can see what my response is to something you said. This is to eliminate ambiguity. It's easier to understand what I say when you see what I'm specifically referring to. How does it fit into the context of an entire diet and the dosage? Outside of knowing how it fits in, giving you an…

The article clearly labelled saturated fats as "bad." The same can be said for polyunsaturated fats as well, which has come under recent scrutiny. Saturated fats, specifically for males, affect testosterone, so that is quite the benefit. Outside of that, there may be potential immune system benefits as well as to bones.…
-
Saturated fats are bad? Huh. Based on what? The shoddy epidemiological studies? A recent meta-analysis has dismissed that saturated fats are bad. That entire article is bunk.
-
Can you define what a good fat is and what a bad fat is?
-
To clear a few things up: - Brown rice is not better than white rice - Sweet potatoes aren't better than white potatoes - Fish isn't better than red meat - "Clean" is an awful, ambiguous, arbitrary word - Red meat isn't bad - Red meat is just as good as chicken Hopefully I didn't miss anything.
-
If you're a vegan or vegetarian for any other reason than animal right reasons then you're doing it all wrong. I'm pretty much tired with the anti-meat propaganda that is continually perpetuated to the ignorant and they accept it as well as the nonsensical, ****ty epidemiological studies which have created the warships…

You're going to get a lot of bad advice on here, most of which will convince that somehow specific things are healthy and unhealthy. Eat what you enjoy and eat it in moderation. I'll be damned if anyone tells me I'm unhealthy because I eat plenty of chocolate and processed foods.
-
I consume way more sugar than that. You're overthinking it and being paranoid.
