I just got a new IPhone (6s) and am seeing the same thing happening (which didn't happen with my 5s). Have you found any solutions????

At 100 pounds and 5'2", you're actually classed as under weight, so that might be why it feels like such a struggle. Maybe see how you feel at 108 (the floor for healthy weight at that height).
Then you have to keep track of the days. Keep logging, even if you're just making a estimate. Just the act of logging can help you keep track of where you are and if you're going off track too much, even if you're guesstimating.
This is so true! Great advice!

I'm going on a 2 week med cruise and plan to work out every day and enjoy my food within reason. Have fun!

Just chiming in, to say thank you! I had book marked this a while back because I was starting with NROLFW and wanted to do 5x5 after, but only made it to stage 3 of NROLFW before switching. I much prefer the simplicity of 5x5!!! I see in prior comments that I'm not the only one who's done that. If you prefer learning…

Halloween wasn't bad for me last year. I used to binge out on candy because it seemed like the thing to do, but last year I just saved some of my calories and had a few pieces of candy and was satisfied. It was actually much more satisfying because I didn't have the sugar sick feeling or the guilt. Edited to add that it…

Since you also asked about lower calorie alcohol options, any liquor with a non-caloric mixer (diet soda, water, etc.) is a good option. Also, you could do light beer to save some calories (usually about 30/beer over the normal, depending on what you're drinking). My two "go to" drinks if I'm at a bar (where non-caloric…

Glad it's helpful. It's actually been a big breakthrough for me because I had the same problem with getting derailed by special occasions and weekend getaways. Once I started tracking everything anyway, I found it wasn't a derailer. Nothing like seeing your log of a 3,000 calorie day to jolt you back into discipline! lol

This is really true! It's not the one day, it's the whole season or the days after the holiday where you're still off track, which is what I think the OP was asking about. I recommend eating whatever you want on the holiday but still logging it--even if you're guessing after the fact (as in, "I think I ate 1/3 of grandma's…

I'm right there with you! The smaller I get, the easier it is to shop, since the smaller clothes go on clearance. But then, we're definitely not nearly the same size as some of the others on here.

My favorite easy soup is my own take on creamy tomato basil. The base is a can of Hunt's fire roasted diced tomatoes. Throw it in the blender and add whatever seasonings you like/have (salt and pepper, hot peppers, basil, curry, garlic, onion, italian seasoning, etc.). You can also add balsamic vinegar if you like it more…

Interesting posts.....I'm especially intrigued about the weight so many maintain at. I am 5'2" and my lowest weight was 122, which was quite skinny on me (overly skinny according to friends and family alike), yet so many on here are the same height and 15 lbs lighter! I maintained at around 125 for 2 years before illness…

Yes, I think the key wasn't that Rebel Wilson is someone we wouldn't want to be associated with, rather the character who is literally named "fat". If he said, let's all go as pitch perfect characters and I think you should be Amy because you're beautiful and self-confident, we wouldn't be having this conversation.…

Agree to the Selena Gomez resemblance!

I just wanted to chime in with the others who said you don't need meat or supplements as a vegetarian. I was a vegetarian for 5 years and was always fine on iron (sometimes I had to take B complex drops, but not always). I also LOVE spinach, so I think that helped since I put it everything. For protein and other animal…

First off, ditch the "friend"! Then, do you for you. Slow and steady wins the race, but if you commit and use the app everyday for every bite, you'll be shocked at how successful you'll be. I highly recommend the getting started posts--tons of useful information. Good luck!

All good advice here! Just had to chime to say 4Rivers is awesome! Best BBQ. Their salads are actually really good too (much better than typical BBQ restaurant salads), just decide if you want to get it without the croutons. Basically, it's a pile of good, fresh veggies and meat. Otherwise, I agree with everyone…

On the top of your page (if you're logged in on a computer and not through an app On the top of your page (if you're logged in on a computer and not through an app), click on "MyHome". This will change the options in the dark blue ribbon below. Click on the "Goals" option below "MyHome" and just to the right of "Home".…

I agree with Cherimoose, since I don't enjoy running but I do it because I like the way I feel when I'm regularly running and I also like the extra calories I get to eat. Maybe a good in-between is that it doesn't have to be something you enjoy, and you may even hate it a little, but it has to be something that you don't…

I think this is key. I agree with CICO, but I also believe it's an over-simplification, with the real equation looking more like this: [Calories In= (Food consumed) * (Unknown factors, such as hunger hormone production, gut bacteria influencing absorption, etc.)] - [Calories Out = (Exercise) * (Metabolism) * (possibly…

Yes, work with your doctor or use an online calorie calculator to identify your own calorie goals and then manually set that in MFP. I don't think the site will change the parameters because they don't want people to use the site for extreme plans without a doctor's support. Since you're working with your doctor, you're…

Try low rise jeans. They're made to hit at the hips, rather than the waist.

Yup! This is me. I love walking and hiking (which are technically cardio, but I don't really count them as exercise because they are not very efficient at either building muscle or heart rate). Any other cardio, I pretty much hate--especially running! I also agree that those programs seem much more like cardio to me. I…

Glad I could help.

Patience!!!! It takes a lot longer than a week to lose weight. Make sure you weigh all your solids and measure all your liquids and LOG EVERYTHING you put in your mouth (including bites, licks and tastes) and you will eventually lose. I also agree with Mackie: listen to your body. If you find you're having a hard time…

I noticed the same thing when I started wearing an Apple Watch. I used to use Endomondo to track my runs, but then that ended up doubling because the Apple Health would include those steps too, which ended up recording them double. I solved it by only linking my Apple Health (since it's more comprehensive) and just…

Yes! This is exactly what I do. I'll usually even end up throwing out the last container of whatever it is (or part of it) because I'm so sick of it by that point that I can't bring myself to finish. After a while (several months or so), I'll remember I used to like it and bring it back into the rotation.

Yup! super simple to cook fish through pan searing--mix up the flavors with the herbs and spices. Dill is a fabulous one to use with lemon or lime. Also, you can wrap it in foil and bake it with olives and onions, etc. too.

I didn't realize that MFP does that--that is disturbing! Are you sure, though? Because I get the Gwenie Bee ads, too, but haven't quite made it to plus sizes yet, so didn't think it was based on my profile or internet searches. I assumed that they just advertise on MFP in general. Anyway, I'm looking forward to being able…
