I was supposed to run a 5k today, which was timed to coincide with the end of C25K. But I had unplanned surgery 2 weeks ago, so I'm not back to running yet. I think I will have to start the program all over again once I have recovered fully. I hope I can get back into it when that time comes. I'll continue reading this…

Did week 5 day 3 today - the dreaded 20 minute run! I did it with a friend and we walked a little during the first 10 mins (very slightly uphill) but ran all the way back once we turned round, so that's still the most I've ever run in one go - so I call that a victory! I am incredibly slow -18+mins a mile - but I really…

I think you did great. Another very slow runner here and I have a 5k in a month, and will just finish the program in time (if I don't have to repeat weeks). I would be thrilled with your time - if I continue at the pace in currently at, it will take me over an hour. I have walked a 5k in under 45 minutes before, but I…

Well I was supposed to do W2D3 yesterday but I was traveling and had had a very busy few days, so I wimped out. I think I will start week 2 again next week. On the plus side, I had a great time while I was away - university orientation for a distance education Master's program I am about to start. Met all my classmates and…

I did W2D2 this morning. My route is slightly uphill on the way back and I am finding that quite hard. I slow down on those intervals but have ended up walking for part of them. I will be running on a treadmill on Friday so I wonder what, if any, difference that will make. At the moment I think I might have to repeat week…

Just done W2D1. Had to walk briskly for the last interval but managed it otherwise. I didn't go out til 8:30 and it was a bit too hot for my liking, it's definitely worth getting up early and getting it done when it's cool. This week will be a challenge as I am going away for a few days and will be tired and busy, but I…

Love these! I have just started C25K and today my main thought was, if a friend of mine is competing in Ironman UK today, then surely I can manage 6 90s intervals! (I did, just, but was very glad to stop! Now, of course, I feel like I could have run forever! )

Finished W1D2 this morning - first week done! I'm finding it hard but strangely enjoyable! And I love the feeling of accomplishment once I'm done - really sets me up for the day.

Yes, I'm using Run Double - just used my watch on Monday and I found it much better with the app this morning as it tells you when to run, walk etc. How about you? Well done on getting day 2 done too!

I've just done W1D2, it was raining when I got up so I postponed it a few minutes till it stopped - but it wouldn't have killed me to run in the rain so next time I shall just do it! I am INCREDIBLY slow - about 3.5mph! - but I am doing it!

Aiming to do Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but next week will have to be Sunday, Tuesday, and hopefully Thursday as I am traveling on Wednesday. Just come back from today's "run" - can't say I exactly enjoy it but I do feel good for doing it! How about you?

I just started yesterday and really want to get to the end of the program this time too! I think I've tried it twice before. I'd love to have a buddy to keep me accountable!

Thank you - I really want to get to the end of the program this time and am looking forward to being able to run for more than a minute at a time!

Thanks! I will do - I'm lucky to live somewhere beautiful (if a bit hilly! ) so it's much nicer being outside!

I just started C25K and am really hoping this will be the time I can learn to enjoy running! I've found all your posts very inspiring. I had been thinking about starting for a while and then ended up signing up for a 5k to support a charity I volunteer for - it's not till November so I have plenty of time. I've been…
