  • I started my weights really low because I've been out of lifting for a while. I started well under the recommended weights they suggest and since you add weight to the exercises each time, I thought it would be better to build up slowly rather than killing myself at the beginning. I also am using dumbbells for the moment…
  • I started yesterday but I've lifted in the past. It's been a while for me so I started really low on my weights since you move up weight so quickly. I have some back problems that I'm dealing with and I know barbell rows kill my back, even with good form, so I opted to do one handed bend over dumbbell rows instead. I'm…
  • Ok, I was just going by what the trainer at the gym said for calories. 1600 calories is a lot. I think 1400 is more reasonable. I am going to start tracking again like I was before and see what i find out
  • Great job!!! How did you get those abs??
  • I feel the same way. I get discouraged so easily and fast and I just want to give up. I do well for a while but when I don't get the results I'm looking for I give up and I need to stop doing that because I think it's making me more depressed because then I feel like a failure. Start slow with working out until you have a…

  • I am eating 1000-1200 cals and not eating back the workout calories. I havent weighed myself in a while but i went to the doctors and according to their scale I'm down 1lb lol. Im on L3D5 tonight. I heard you lose weight and see a difference most in level 3. We will see. I feel like I am seeing a difference now but I am…
  • I am on Level 3 Day 4 tonight. The first 2 days of Level 3 I could hardly get through without stopping for little 2-3 second breaks but last night was a little better. I havent seen much, if any, change in my body but I feel different. I feel stronger, more motivated, and I can feel my body building muscles where I didnt…

  • I want to be a runner too but every time I start the c25k program or any type of running I get shin splints really bad and I'm down for a few days. My shoes are getting kind of old so I am guessing it probably is related to that but it's crappy. I have been walking and doing the elliptical to start strengthening my legs a…
  • Good job everyone!!!! Keep up the good work Team 3!!!!
  • I am 5'2", 22 years old and I am currentl 131 but I would love to be 115-120. I have never really had to work out or do anything to maintain my 110-115 before but then I started a medication that tacked on the lbs quick! It was terrible and now I am trying to find the energy, motivation, and strength to get healthy and…
  • that sounds soo good! I will have to try it. PS take the milk back to the grocery store you got it from. usually they dont need a receipt and they will just let you get a new carton
  • I ordered the actual DVD a few days ago on amazon. I have part one or whatever on demand through fit tv but i figured it would be better to have the DVD so I am going to start once I get it hopefully. Been sort of under the weather this last week so hopefully I will feel better by the time the dvd comes.
  • I just went back and looked at my log: Water: 5/7 Weights: 3/7 but I only worked out 5/7 so thats not tooo bad I guess.
  • SW: 133 CW: 132.5 Lost .5 lbs I got the 10 cups of water in most days and tried to add more weight to my workouts. I also worked out 5/7 days last week which is a NSV for me since I usually give up if I am a little sore instead of pushing through so I'm feeling pretty proud of myself.
  • Thank you everyone for posting on this. I guess I'm not really concerned if they go away or not, I would just like them to be less noticable and it seems like from what you all have said, if I start losing the weight they might shrink and wont look as bad. I'm not sure what changed but it seems like recently they all got…
  • Same here with the jeans thing...I want to just fit into all my clothes comfortably again.
  • I would like ot know too!! I am 5'2" and around 133-135. These before and after pictures make me feel like weight loss and just getting fit and toned is actually possible.
  • What does eating your excerise calories mean? is that a good or bad thing?
  • Oh I forgot to list one of my goals....I'd really like to get the courage to go to some of the classes offered at my gym. I'm really intimidated by them but i need to just bite the bullet and go :ohwell:
  • Checking in! CW: 133.0 GW: 125.0 Goal: 8.0 lbs NVS: Have my jeans feel loose again rather than skin tight. Also, I am really working towards actually using my gym membership more consistantly and create an actual schedule to work out. I am going to start Jillian Michaels Shred and really try to stick to doing that at least…
  • HI! I am 5'1.5" and I want to lose 15-20lbs and would love to join this group and make some new friends that are similar in height and weight and this group is perfect! Please friend request me!!
  • Thank you for your help! I will think about it this weekend and try to come up with some goals!
  • I am really interested in trying this challenge. I do not know what a resonable goal for myself would be though. I don't know what is considered an attainable goal and I don't want to set the bar too high and not even come close. Can anyone give a newbie a little advise? Thanks :)
  • I am new here too. I signed up a while ago with the mobile app but never really explored the website until today. I was really curious what NSV was too! I am glad I did some exploring today and found these message boards. There are a lot of inspiring stories and it seems like there is a lot of support and I'm hoping that…
