  • i always have the same everyday except for dinner. it makes shopping easy, makes calorie counting easy. aftr a while when i get bored i change the routine. i sometimes crave other things but i like to routine
  • my failsafe whenever I plateau over the years, especially if I have been dieting strictly for a long itme and am close to 105lbs, is having some high carb high cal days. once a week,even. I think it breaks the starvation mode. then I susually lose a couple pounds just after that. BUT are you sure you are logging correctly?

  • http://www.9bar.com/ these are awesome. enough sugar to give you a good hit to concentrate. all those nuts and seeds - very dense ans filling. vegand and gluten free. about 250 cal each though, but they fill you up. sometimes i have them for breakfast. oh and very very yummy!

  • wow thanks guys that is amazing advice, and thanks for all the calculations. my food diary says I will lose about a pound a week at 1000 cals a day so it is healthy. I am short (5 ft 3)
  • thanks guys, im not sure if I have enough of a deficit. my BMR is 1300 and my intake is about 1000. I have a desk job, very sedentary and do not exercise often. I run 3 miles home, perhaps 3 times a week. is that enough?
  • too low for your height once I lost 2st on 700 cal a day (am 164cm) but when I tried maintaining it I had all weird stuff going on like feeling dizzy and growing hair on my face, losing hair etc. not the right way! I got down to 7 st 5 and a US size 00 (uk size 4 - 6)
  • I agree. it doesn't matter at all. if you eat 1000 calories for dinner, or in 6 tiny meals it is the same! I also disagree with the idea that eating infrequently leads to starvation mode and "you wont lose weight". if you DIDNT lose weight when you stop eating enough, people would never starve!
