I just sent a request to join the group. I started my second Whole 30 yesterday. I did one last year and felt so amazing, but then slid back into my old ways. Its always great to have the support, especially because I still have all the non-compliant foods around because the rest of my family isn't doing it with me.

Day 1 complete and Day 2 is going well so far. I am still looking for some more Whole 30 MFP pals.
-
You can find all the info at www.whole30.com. And I recommend reading the book It All Starts with Food.
-
I am starting it tomorrow and will be doing a regular blog post about it. You are welcome to friend me if you are interested in following my progress and learning about my experience on the program.
-
I find the calorie counts on MFP to be way over estimated for many activities. I realized this when I invested in a HRM which often estimated about half the amount of MFP.

If you will be be hurt if he doesn't remember then you should remind him. Its also my experience that once you are married, all those other "anniversaries" don't mean anything to guys.

We only eat chicken about three times a week. Any more than that and my husband would rebel. I have found that if you really look at the nutritional values there are lots of other meats that are just as lean if not leaner than chicken. In my supermarket they have 4% fat ground sirloin and its stats are better than ground…

I just got a Nathan 2 bottle belt and used it for the first time last week. I really liked it.

She didn't have anything specific because she said it was a lot of trial and error to find out what works for each individual. She said to start with a breakfast that is higher in protein. After my run she suggested low fat chocolate milk and then no food for about 2 hours. She did say that the reason I am struggling is…

This is me too. I always have to talk myself through the first part of my run and then I get into the flow and I know I got it.

I would recommend the Jeff Galloway training program. I tried Couch 2 5K and I couldn't get past week 5, because long runs had me breathing really hard because I have asthma. The Jeff Galloway training program is a run walk method that is not ever designed to get to just running. He recommends even exerperienced runners…

I am going to try out some of these great recipes

Sounds great

I have this issue. I started working with a sports nutritionist last week to try to address it. It started when I started routinely getting above 5 miles in a run. I agree with the poster who said that it may be trial and error to find out what works for you. The nutritionist suggested that I eat about an hour before I run…

I am meeting with a nutritionist tomorrow to talk about this very thing. I am training for a half in September and as soon as I went above about 6 miles for longer runs I started to get sick. I just had no idea what to eat before or after. I am hoping she gives me some great insight. If she does I will be happy to share.

I don't respond to friend requests without a message because I have no idea why they want to be my friend. Usually I try to go look at their profile, but often I can't since I'm not their friend. Withough anything to go on I don't have much of an option.

I have a pair of capris from Old Navy and I love them. They cost me $20, fit great and have a small zipper pocket which is really helpful.
-
I don't have anything to add, but I hoping you get a few more responses because I am heading there myself in a few weeks.
Oh, and you will hear a lot of talk about the dreaded 10 or whatever they call it...but it is so true. Once you get past 10 minutes, it is like you get a second wind and POW....
This is so true. I hate running every time for the first 10 minutes and then I love it. The couch 2 5K is a very popular…

Not sure what it is, but I will check it out later

Thanks everyone! It definately isn't that I don't drink enough water. I am well over 100 oz everyday. Water is usually the only thing I drink during the day. I do take a multivitamin, but I may have to look into the calcuim and potassium issues. i just think its odd that they just started happening when I haven't really…

I do it sometimes at work. I clean up with baby wipes, dry shampoo for my hair, deoderant and a touch of new makeup and I am good to go.

I have a crazy schedule in the mornings, so during the week it is usually a maple and brown sugar high fiber oatmeal packet made with almond milk, a high fiber cold cereal and almond milk or greek yogurt and a piece of fruit.. On the weekends when I have more time, it is often an egg and two egg whites on a half of a high…

Want to hear something that will totally throw a monkey wrench in. When I weight 28 grams of my shredded cheese, it's less than a 1/4 cup which is also the other unit of measurement listed. If I have the option I always go with the weight. Sometimes its more than the volume given and sometimes it's less but I think…

A lot of times manufacturers change over time and even if it was accurate once it may not be right now. I always double check.

Yes it is my first half. I figured if anything was going to motivate me it was running in a Disney race. I am just starting out running, so this is a huge leap, but I am so excited. I know it is a lot of money, but I figured it was a bucket list type of experience and I am willing to pay for that.
-
Definately need to read this closer

I registered for this race today and I am brand new to running. I am really nervous but everyone I have talked to who runs says I have plenty of time. I am really excited.

I registered for this race today. It will be my first, so I can't answer any of your questions but I am so looking forward to it.
