When you create your MFP account, it asks your for your daily activity without exercise and creates and daily calorie limit based on that info (with your age and weight). So any exercise you put on top of it is extra and now the daily output has increased, which means you're 'allowed' more calories. So if you continue to…

No, when it asks for your daily activity it asks for your activity BEFORE exercise. MFP figures out your daily calorie output based on your age, weight and activity level (a construction worker is going to have a higher caloric output than an office assistant). Any exercise you put in is just extra on top of that. For me,…

I gave up all soda, now I just drink my rum straight :drinker: In all seriousness: http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20050613/drink-more-diet-soda-gain-more-weight http://diet.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Diet_Soda_and_Weight_Loss http://www.medpagetoday.com/MeetingCoverage/ASA/24788…

I made it to "maggots in pepperoni" and had to stop or I'd never eat again. I actually gagged! And I've got a pretty strong stomach, UGH

Ridiculous portion sizes. I never realized just how much I ate--even while 'eating healthy'--until I recently bought a food scale. Now that I measure and weigh everything I eat, I can see that I ate 2, 3, sometimes 4 times as much as I should have. The other day I made a bowl of spaghetti and found that a serving size…

I just think about how much it sucks being fat. I can't fit into roller coasters, I can't fit into clothes, I can't walk up the stairs without getting winded, I can't get picked up by my boyfriend, I never get hit on when I'm at the bar with my friends, I can't get on the floor and play with my friends kids... so many…

I pre-log on days that I go to work. I bring my dinner and snacks with me and log them all in advance. Since I can only eat what I've packed, I know I won't go over and the worst that can happen is I have to delete something if I didn't eat it.

I am going to pretend that I didn't read this thread because I refuse to acknowledge that summer is nearing its close. :(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag4C0MFRnmE ;) (Note: video has some swearing, NSFW!) Anyways, my Olympic crush is, without a doubt, Michael Phelps. That boy. He's from my city. Heaven help me if I ever run into him in real life, I'd probably get arrested

I love Pistorius! And this picture of him and another amputee melted my heart http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1184359/Amputee-5-world-beater-bionic-blades.html oops! I hit quote instead of edit!!! Sorry for double post. :)

Seriously. The amount of Mckayla Maroney hate that has been going on turns my stomach. She was a 16 year old girl who fell on her *kitten* in front of millions of people. Lips pursed, eyes to the side, avoiding eye contact, "please dont look at me" face? Yeah, that doesn't just sound like a scowl to me, it sounds like the…

YES. It discourages me. But I think it depends on who you are seeing. For instance, my boyfriend hadn't noticed my weight loss because he saw me every single day, so the changes were so subtle and gradual that it never really clicked in his mind that I was different. But I ran into a coworker the other day that I hadn't…

I use the FT60 by Polar. I bought mine from heartratemonitorsusa.com, and that site was FANTASTIC. It has in-depth descriptions and reviews of their HRMs and you can search for the best HRM based on what you want (monitors for weight loss, for cardio training, for swimmers, for runners, for triathletes, with GPS, etc). The…

Baltimore area, though we head down to DC quite often. There's always tons of stuff to do!

I can't eat anything too heavy post-work out or I get sick, so I usually stick to a smoothie or some Greek yogurt with a mashed banana or something.

FFFF, I love Phelps so much. I was glued to my TV every time he was racing. My boyfriend was like, "I didn't know you liked swimming so much!" Right, I'm watching it for the swimming... Also love this guy: He's such a GQMF, I love it. He rocks the waistcoats.

HATE pennies, they need to be abolished! Watch this super entertaining and informative video! I love this guy, he's so smart :) http://youtu.be/y5UT04p5f7U And this video on Canada's decision to get rid of the penny, also very informative: http://youtu.be/nU4E6SSy5Yg

LOVE Tom Hardy! Also a resounding YES!!!

Take the 1 mil. Everything I could ever want could be done in under 1 mil. Buy a little house so I don't have a mortgage, a new car that doesn't break down every other month, put the rest in savings and head to work the next day!

I am bumping this thread for easy access to lots of helpful info. NOT because I want to look at your arms at all hours of the day, I promise.

OH! And you can also just freeze some fat free yogurt or sugar-free fat free pudding if all you're missing is the texture! I love making pudding and then freezing it. :)

I eat it. I haven't given up the things I love, I just make better choices. Edy's Slow Churned Mint Chocolate Chip: 120 cals per 1/2 cup Edy's Slow Churned Light Chocolate ice cream: 110 cals per 1/2 cup Ben and Jerry's low fat Half Baked Froyo: 180 per 1/2 cup I make sure to save a few extra cals for it and make myself…

I can't even list what my worst meal was, because I ate so many of them. My boyfriend and I work late and so we often used that as an excuse to stop by Taco Bell, or McDonald's or Five Guys or any number of fast food restaurants on the way home instead of cooking. If we didn't want burgers, we'd go home and order take out…

If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.
