  • Hi Suzanne - firstly good luck - you've made a great choice coming here for information and support, I know it's helped me and other people a lot! My kids are alittle older - 8 and 11. I walk them to school, walk myself to work - always did but now I've picked up the pace. When they're playing in the park or doing sports I…
  • First thing I do is drink - a mug of lemon and ginger tea, satisfying and quenching and takes a few minutes t brew - gives me time to evaluate whether I really do need to eat. And read a success thread for motivation! If it's still hunger after that - I go for small portion of protein, weigh out a little meat or cheese…
  • Not sure why this is a problem - my weekends are usually just over maintenance level but my average across the whole week balances out at a loss I've heard a lot of people agonising over this and others that preach consistency - if that works for you then great. For me, going 'over budget' at the weekend with wine and/or…
  • First two pics from last summer's holiday, don't know exact weight then but I was 231lb when i started here in November 2013. During (not after!) pics this weekend. I weigh 197lb - one more pound and I'm 2.5 stone down :-) Not classic before and after same outfit shots because a) last thing I wanted when I started this was…
  • Ummm sorry, disagree with this mfp is set so that you have a goal - aim for that, eat the calories you're given, including chocolarte if you want. Having occasional treatrs like this has helped me stay wth it and keep losing Eating back comes into the equation if you've got added calores from exercise - mfp is over…
  • if you put 'chicken roast' as a search it gives you options for meat, breast, thigh with or without skin - and that's just entries without the asterisk *
  • Flavour? How can you think of diluting nay pollluting the awesome yummy potatoeyness? Has to be original Potato shake for me every time!
  • Congratulations shadow!!!! Fantastic achievement - a lot of people say ithis is about health, not just looking good and your post brings that home. You're right to be proud x
  • Before and during.... Started here Nov 2013, 231lb - before pics taken on hoilday in August 2013 During is tonight 199lb and 3 weeks into March Plank Challenge (hello group  Sorry mirror in pics is so dirty - this is an emergency post to keep me motivated & out of the biscuit tin - looking for duster & polish now!
  • Before I started 231lb Today 199lb
  • Never had any cups - they're not used nearly as much in the UK anyway Spoons - 8/10 - measuring out spices and herbs to make the healthy stuff tasty and making sure I know how much oil I add to a pan. No more Jamie Oliver 'lugs' of olive oil! Agree with everyone that gave scales a 10
  • I haven't told anyone at work - not announced it to anyone at all but when someone notices then I tell them I'm eating less than I did and using mfp At work I sometimes eat the cakes and biscuits people bring in - I pack a smaller lunch if I know it's a birthday or just go over budget because it doesn't hurt to do that…
  • Sounds like you could be double counting exercise If you're very active because of your workouts then don't log them separately - that would count the activities twice and send your allowance unrealistically high. I set mine to sedantry and log my walking and swimming Some people say they're v active then don't log the gym…
  • I tend to eat and drink over target at the weekends not for the sake of cheating but because that's when we have a big family meal and that's when I'm likely to have a bottle or two of wine in the evening and I have least opportunity to exercise if the kids are competing. Logging helps me keep on track and I tend to…
  • Fantastic achievement - you look amazing and I love your confidence enthusiasm. Please treat yourself to the new dress - you earned it! Just show us how great you look in the smaller size :-)
  • Currently enjoying a 120cal glass of Shiraz - verrry nice Also love my G&SlimlineT But you've been saving up for tonight so I say go with what you fancy - even if it is a little carborific Cheers!
  • 5'6 Started at 231lb wearing a 42J though the band was too tight tbh Today's weight is 201lb, somewhat deflated and should be wearing a 42F according to latest measurements Just realised - I'll fit in a sports bra now :-)
  • Could you have soup on your 15 minute break? Snack or mini meal before you start work then heat up some soup if you have access to a microwave. Even a cuppa soup if there's a kettle. I quite often have soup with a box of salad from home for a quick office lunch
  • Love family Sunday roasts - I just weigh and log. Not my unhealthiest meal of the week! I have more veg and lean meat than anything but I still take a bit of everything. I tend to make deals with myself - one less glass of wine in exchange for a bit of crackling and apple sauce ;-) Some weeks it fits my daily allowance, on…
  • Thanks for the motvation - you all look amazing!! Still a long way to go here but starting to see the difference now :-)
  • Can I play too? :-)
  • I bought a new swimsuit - size smaller than last time and I got it off the peg in Asda instead of ordering from a fat-fit catalogue. OK it's a size 24 (UK) but I will wear it with pride when I swim my mile tonight :-)
  • I'm really into lemon and ginger 'tea' at the moment - more an infusion in a bag, no actual tea content. Very warming and zingy mmmmm. I think it's helped me having a completely different flavour to encourage me to have another drink instead of snacking between my black coffees, especially at work. Not a huge tea fan, much…
  • Hope you enjoyed the donut  Wish I cuold get to a Tim Horton's - although Greggs' chocolate orange donuts are pretty awesome - Jaffa cakes in donut form mmmmmmmmmm
  • 5'6 211lb 52-40-43 20lb lost and no longer spilling over my 42j cups :-)
  • Interesting, I've been thinking almost the opposite - I've always measured and thought in stones, that's what my scales are in but since I've been tracking on here I've started to think in pounds. I've found it much more encouraging whittling away a pound or two than seeing myself as still being so far away from the next…
  • Not a disaster hun, and probably more the sodium making you hang onto a bit more water - drink plenty today and tomorrow and I bet that half pound melts away!
  • G with a slimline T :-) Or big glasses of water between not so big glasses of wine
  • love that! I'll walk for wine too this week :-) Not sure about a jog for my gin though
