  • I find myself doing that from time to time, and I just make up those calories by splurging on eating out. Some people actually log calories by week rather than each day. So you can always have days under goal and some days over, and at the end of your week it will balance out. If you find yourself having that much trouble…
  • Drinking water is great, I drink about ten cups a day but that's only because of the nature of my job. You don't honestly need to drink the amount that you are, unless you're just that thirsty. Just strive for the recommended 8 cups a day and that should be plenty, assuming you have no other underlying medical conditions…
  • Yeah, less insulation due to reduced body fat
  • I've lost around 50 lbs by just counting calories while still eating normal food... Pizza, cookies, soda, steak, cheese. You name it, I ate it and lost weight/kept if off. The only thing I paid attention to was making sure I was getting my protein to minimize muscle loss. Oh and I'm a lazy sob that worked out once during…
  • Honestly I never stopped drinking it, I'll still have soda. I cut back drastically though, every time I was thirsty I'd grab a soda. Now I only drink a 12oz can a few times a week. I drink mostly water and unsweetened black tea now because I enjoy the taste and I need caffeine or else my head will explode. If its the…
  • Lost over 30lbs still drinking cokes and eating ding dongs. I honestly don't pay too much attention to sugar and fat, protein on the other hand I try to hit my daily goal.
  • Final Fantasy XI World of Warcraft GTA Space Channel 5 Shenmue (Japan in the 80's ftw)
  • Can you live without carbs for the rest of your life? If not, then you should just count calories.
  • No one can tell you what you what number you should aim for. Just go for what you think may make you feel and look better and once you get there you can always stop or decide to keep going. I surpassed my initial goal and have decided to lose another 20lbs. Good luck
  • Before joining MFP, I had always thought losing weight was this convoluted process and that you had to be overly strict to get anywhere. You are always going to see new "studies" and opinions pop up about what works to lose weight and what's healthy to consume. With changing opinions its hard to keep up and it becomes…
  • Nothing, food wise is bad for as long as its in moderation. Unless of course you have health issues that require a special diet. Edit- Magnesium tablets can help with constipation. I take 500 mg a day for migraines and as a side effect it helps me go to the bathroom much easier.
  • I had a soda and candy bar yesterday morning for breakfast and a burger and fries for dinner. All under my daily goal and down a lb this morning :D as long as you are within your daily caloric range you should be fine. Unless you are eating things high in sodium which can cause you to keep on water weight, which can be…
  • I understand your fears and wanting your son to be a productive and self sufficient person. Kicking him out wont solve anything. There are worse things a person can do then to sell some pot to his friends. Unless it becomes a huge problem concerning the safety for you and your home. As in strange shady people coming and…
  • Pretty sure they didn't have a vegetarian diet either...
  • Are talking about Alli, the weight loss pill? If you are eating an already low fat diet I'd just save the money. All it does is make you poo out the extra oil from meals that contain more than 15 (or around 15 not completely sure) grams of fat, thus blocking that extra fat from meals from being stored on the body. I've…
  • I started to lose weight in my upper chest and shoulders first. It was hardly noticeable until I lost around 15lbs. 25lbs in and my clothes fit different now but haven't really lost any inches in my belly yet. Bodies are strange, just keep going and you'll get there.
  • Just continue eating within your daily limits and you should still lose weight. I've lost 24lbs since late December by just watching how much I eat and I will have a cheat meal on my days off (or else I'd go crazy). I'm positive I would have lost a lot more weight if I ate within my calories on those days. Maybe at home…
