not sure what i should set my weight loss goal to

I'm 5"7 and 12st 4lb/5lb and a uk size 12, 12/14. I don't really know what weight to aim for. At my skinniest I was 10st 4lb and a size 8/10. Everyone said I looked skinny. According to my BMI, 10st 4lb is at the high end of normal. The thing is I do a lot of exercise and I have big bones. My mum was very slim when she was young and was like 65-70 kg and everyone said she was skinny. Should I am for 9 and a half stone? I just like the number and it feels lighter. I don't know if it's necessary to loose 3 stone. It took me ages to get down to 10st 4lb and I struggled to get my weight below 10st 7lb even though I was barely eating and overexercising.

probably one of the main points ive gotten from this site is that weight really is just a number. who cares what you weigh if you look good, or for that matter feel good?
setting some arbitrary number to hit may help see the light at the tunnel but in the end you'll be done when youre done, and these habits should continue afterwards anyway0 -

If you are tall/large boned then you will probably want something a bit on the higher end. Also if you looked "too skinny" before, you know you probably don't want to go that low again.
Don't forget, you can always just take it as you go and stop when you're happy. Or, if you overshoot and lose a bit too much for your taste, add a bit more calories until you end up where you want to be!0 -

If 144 pounds is at the high end of normal, that sounds good enough to me!0 -
I pay far more attention to BF% and composition....arbitrary number on the scale is arbitrary. People forget that number is made up of a whole bunch of other things besides fat and put way too much stock into what the scale says. The scale is just on of many tools to help you monitor your progress.0

No one can tell you what you what number you should aim for. Just go for what you think may make you feel and look better and once you get there you can always stop or decide to keep going.

You need to be realistic. If getting to 10st 4-7 was such a struggle, how do you think you'll be able to get to 9.5 stone and stay there? How about going with the higher end of the range. I'm also 5'7" and from what I've read, high is is closer to 11st (just under 160 pounds). Then once you're there, you can determine if you need to lose a bit more or if you're happy with how you look at that weight.
P.S. please stop saying you're big boned - that's a term that's been debunked. What you mean is that you have a larger frame.0 -
