It didn't state it to out men down. But you can't just tell someone who is reaching out for help to have will power. Women have many different needs than men due to hormones. And we shouldn't feel bad about that.
-
Will power is easier for males. I took an eating disorder class from penn state and learned that males have a different approach to dieting than females. To men food is just food whereas to females there is a more emotional relationship. We r more likely to eat due to feelings. For the most part. Some men feel this way too…

Have u tried this before? I've been wanting to.

I read on here somewhere about something called PB2. It's supposedly a peanut butter powder that you mix with water and it's like peanut butter with almost the same amount of protein but with less fat. I saw it in target so I know they carry it. I didn't try it yet though. I might pick some up myself.
-
Are there any specific meals you feel less full after?
-
I have trouble feeling full on that too. I try to add protein in to each meal lately. That seems to do the trick for me. If I eat an apple I out peanut butter on it. I just had veggies for lunch with a cup of Greek yogurt. Yoplait has an 80 calorie yogurt so it's not many calories.

The only thing I don't like is on three different occasions in the last week I have tried to help motivate someone and have for attacked in the forum. It's like everyone is trying to save the day and be correct And have the right answer as opposed to helping .
-
That last one should have read..."I'm on lightly active"
-
So I'm on sedentary and it has me at 1320 a day. I ate 1304 and didn't eat my workout calories back. That number felt ok yesterday so I'm gonna try the 1320. :) I will see how it works over a few weeks!
-
Oh yeah. I am like a pro when it comes to tracking food lol I never eat back my workout calories earned either. When I go over my 1200 I just consider it as going over for the day, even if I have 200 workout calories earned.

I'm currently in the process of trying to plan a home workout plan. I have insanity and jillian michaels 30 day shred. I can't do them every day as scheduled because I give plasma 2xs a week and can't workout on those days. I have some Wii games to play for fun/workout time every now and then. I have a treadmill a workout…

I love the Cadbury eggs. But they make my teeth hurt too! So basically my Teeth know when to cut me off since my stomach doesn't haha

It looks like there are many different theories on this one!

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1238947-polyunsaturated-and-monounsaturated-fat?hl=Monounsaturated+fats#posts-19410261 I actually just found this other thread after posting mine.

Yeah I wasn't diagnosed with OCD but I have check my door handle everytime I walk past it to "make sure" it's locked even though I know it is. The app is just that....a daily average. It is something i can basically do myself but its like the calorie calculator on here...i let MFP do it for me. (although with ocd naturally…

im sorry, but your advice in this thread leaves a lot to be desired. rather than an app that offers an "estimated weight" (tells you what you likely want to hear), you and the OP are perfectly capable of just weighing in once a week or once a month (will power)....same time of day, wearing nada. as i said before, the…
-
Someone also suggested to me an app called true weight. You weight yourself everyday and it gives you your "true weight" based off of averaging the number you put in eah day. But it does ask you for your weight each day so if you think you'd rather not weight yourself everyday like alot of people suggest its not a good…

But it's only been six days. Give it time. It is very frustrating. Probably everyone on here has experienced this at some point. But luckily the support on here is great!
-
Well it's still due to muscles related changes and not a fat gain haha oops. Bad choice of wording on my part. Someone explained the water retention thing to me on here which is what my head was thinking but out of habit worded it the way I have been for years. I work with kids all day. My brain is fried.

I am not officially at maintenance but I seem to be maintaining my weight. I eat 1200 calories a day most days of the week then on the weekends I usually go over by about 200 -300 calories each day. (I prefer to eat more freely on weekend) . So that's about 500-600 calories more a week than my plan allows. Sooo....that's…
-
What kind of workouts are you doing? You could be gaining muscle.
-
Icing straight out of the can. Especially fudge icing! I maKe myself chew mint gum when I bake
-
I had a similar experience myself. At 5'2 I should be eating 1200. I was at 950 on weight watchers! Once I began eating more I felt great and began to get toned!
-
My motivation comes from reading posts. Whether I need to get off my *kitten* or want to keep from eating junk.
-
So others are using protein powder too?
-
Well I lost my first 12 lbs on weight watchers eating only 950 calories a day. I didn't realize this because they use points. My body gave up after that loss and scale wouldn't budge because my body was storing fat. So I started MFP at 1200 a few weeks ago. Lost another lb or two but I think my body is still adjusting to…
-
I usually eat bigger breakfast on weekends but because I have more time to enjoy it. I eat least at lunch because I eat in grade school cafeteria so it's no where near enjoyable , then save most for dinner at home
-
I am so afraid of starting big and burning through my 1200 without my after dinner snack lol or having to be super selective with dinner.
-
I donate plasma and they check nutrient levels prior to make sure everything is up. Mine are always lower when it's period time. They told me to eat more during because I'm losing nutrients. If our body is in need of nutrients we crave food. So I believe we need more food. So here is where a decision comes in. My body is…

I know how you feel. I eat icing straight out of the can. Probably why I've been stuck fir a few weeks now.
