  • I had that, but I think it's just brand variability. I had three pairs of pants that were supposedly the same size. Two fit great after the first 10 pounds, but it took about 7 more before the third pair wasn't snug anymore. So annoying.
  • Now I want to try this "rice sugar bread". Sounds tasty.
  • Luna bar, Yoplait light, snack bag of chips, piece of fruit. Easy to throw in my bag as I rush out the door in the morning. :p

  • Don't have any recommendations for specific exercises, but I use resistance bands for lifting. They take up way less room than free weights (I live in a small apartment) and you can mix/match different resistance levels to customize how much weight you're pulling.
  • Drink what you like and what fits into your calorie goal. Personally, I drink skim milk because I like to use those calories elsewhere.
  • Peanut butter, ice cream, and cereal. I want to punch whatever *kitten* decided 1/2 cup of cereal or ice cream is anywhere close to what a normal human being would eat as a serving.
  • Every person is different as to where they hold their weight. For example: over a 50 pound range, I drop only one bra size (38A to 36B), but I drop 4-5 pants sizes as my waist goes from 38 inches to 30 inches. So, you might lose weight in your chest or you might not.
  • Did you ever think about getting permanently sterilized instead? Are you planning on having any other kids? I got my tubes tied to avoid issues with hormones and so I wouldn't have to pay for pills until I'm 60.
  • As I'm losing right now, all I care about it calories. After I hit my goal weight, I want to start lifting so I'll possibly pay a little attention to macros then. Really, it's more thought and effort than I want to put into my food consumption.
  • I've never tried slimfast. I have used meal replacement shakes but only to replace one meal, only because they were easy to make (very busy schedule), and only because it allowed me to have a larger meal somewhere else in my day. I would NOT center my whole diet around drinking calories and I certainly would not pay that…
  • It's not "healthier" it's lower calorie. I like the mint, cookie dough, and red velvet. The chocolate is lack-luster. I think the peanut butter cup is pretty good too.
  • I use MFP to track my food, but that's it. I tried setting MFP to various activity levels, but none of them were quite right for me. Instead, I use a Fitbit with a HRM and eat 500 cals/day under whatever my Fitbit tells me. I think MFP is great for calories in but I would rather have something else to accurately track my…
  • I'm aiming for about 10 pounds under the upper limit for my BMI. That way I have some wiggle room with weight. However, I will see what I look/feel like when I get there. I'm also planning to lift weights once I'm done losing which means I'll continue to change shape. Basically, pick a number and see what you think when…
  • I splurge on Halo Top ice cream ($5/pint) because it's low in calories (360 cals for red velvet, whoo!).
  • Dropping 2lbs on first day of diet = water weight/natural fluctuation. Will most likely be back tomorrow and/or later in the week. Drop the gimmick, eat at a deficit, measure precisely, lose steadily.
  • Read this thread: so-you-want-a-nice-stomach
  • I think you've been overpaying for all of your food for absolutely zero added health benefit.
  • I can not restrain myself with dairy products. Yogurt comes in single serve of 90 calories (I eat light yogurt) and I buy pints of ice cream and eat the whole pint (It's a single serving to me!). I make sure either will fit into my calories for the day. Another +1 for Halo Top here! As I eat the whole pint no matter what,…
  • It's up to you. Outside, you can vary your scenery (walk different routes) but will not have maximum control over how fast you go or your inclines. Inside, you stare at the same stuff all the time (or you can watch TV) but have better control over your speed and incline. It depends on what you're looking for. Personally,…
  • I'll chime in on the calories too low. I did this once and all I thought about was food and counted the minutes to my next meal. Turns out I was burning WAY more calories than I thought I was. I upped my intake quite a bit (300cal/day) and now I think about other stuff. Try eating 100-200 more calories/day for a few weeks…
  • I eat the exact same breakfast every day (chai, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of turkey bacon). Lunch is always a Luna bar, apple, yogurt, and snack-size chips. I vary the flavors on everything but the apple. Dinner is different from week to week. I usually cook for the week on Sunday and then eat leftovers Monday through Friday. So, I…
  • Losing 3lbs/week is NOT healthy unless you have massively overweight and are doing so under a doctor's supervision. Aim for a more realistic goal of 1lb/week and use the above chart.
  • OMG! Can I shake your hand??? You are like, the only vegan I have ever heard of that doesn't think vegan diets are automatically healthy and you can eat whatever you want. I don't really have any advice on macros (sorry) just wanted to say thanks for being realistic!
  • Maybe it's easier for me because I was definitely NOT in shape in my 20's. I was grossly overweight in college and it didn't get much better when I graduated. Now that I'm older, I've taken the time to learn about calories and what causes weight gain/loss (something I was never taught growing up) and I can say I have a…
  • Yeah, that would so not work for me. I once bought the Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar lotion because I like the scent of vanilla. Turns out it just made me want to eat my own arm. I wanted sugar cookies ALL DAY. I had to give the bottle away. :/
  • Weigh the same time every day on the same scale. It doesn't matter if it's first thing in the morning or right before bed, just be consistent.
  • Every human is different. You could drop it all tomorrow or you could be working it out for 1-2 weeks. Just stick to your plan and it will come back off eventually.
  • No, I have a friend who is 120lbs with DDs. She has back problems and wants reduction surgery.
  • You need to eat at a deficit and your body will choose where to remove fat. Building muscle under fat doesn't make the fat go away. Sadly, you can't spot reduce.
  • If you want to move the food to another meal: Website-Click the food and reassign it to a different meal App-Long press on the food and tap "Move to" then select the meal If you want to delete a food from your diary: Website-Click the little red circle next to the food App-Long press on the food and tap "Delete"
