  • Whoa cool! How did the class go?? Thanks again for keeping us all organized and motivated Rach! I have a photoshoot scheduled for friday so I'm really buckling down. I'm eating clean and whole until then (but that still includes protein powder) and trying to watch my sodium intake so I'm not bloated. I am so close to my…
  • whoa that sounds super good
  • 117.7 today. I started tae kwon do last week and its a pretty good workout five days a week!
  • In no particular order... Oatmeal frozen blueberries chocolate protein powder plain yogurt beans (I usually have black, white, kidney, or chickpeas prepared as hummus, mashes, or soups) runners up: peanut butter hard boiled eggs or 2 whites 1 egg omelette prunes almonds tofu bananas kim chi
  • I blend mine with plain yogurt, peanut butter, and banana and freeze it for frozen yogurt. My current favorite way is to mix with a couple tablespoons of water, an egg white, and a tbs of chunky peanut butter and fry in a pan over very low heat as pancakes. Super convenient and so good!
  • My weight today is 118.1 Good job everyone!! Keep pushing until the end! We can do it!
  • My current protein does the same thing to me. I tried mixing it with a bunch of different things to see if it would digest better and a tablespoon of peanut butter helps a lot, even though it makes the calorie count much higher. I also get less sick when i make protein pancakes with my powder (mix a scoop with an egg white…
  • I've been known to prepare roasted sweet potatoes, chicken salads, soups, etc. in advance. I also portion out snack bags of almonds, prunes, and jackfruit chips. Hard boiled eggs are also great for preparing ahead to take on the go. My newest favorite snack to pack is protein pancakes. My main problem with preparing ahead…
  • Since its essentially the same thing but just with extra added sugar, sodium, and flavorings, I think a serving of plain oats is just more food... I love oatmeal... I eat it almost every day for breakfast with cinnamon, sliced almonds, frozen blueberries, and lately a tbs of cocoa powder. Its about 100 extra calories but…

  • Todays weigh in: 117.3 I'm almost at my goal!! This thread has been really motivational. I feel accountable and just want to see good numbers on that chart! Thanks Rach :) Goals for next week: dont lose steam. Eat lots of beans drink lots of water
  • I agree tuna is super filling. Sometimes I do a stir fry with a little soy sauce, kim chi (but you can use any vegetable), a can of tuna, and two egg whites. Its super low cal and incredibly filling. For filling meals I like to make sure there is a good protein source, fiber, and a small amount of fat (unsaturated, if I…
  • hahaha you gotta love the guys for sticking through it with the diet monster... My boyfriend and dad would know. >:) Anyway, you look awesome! Stick with it.. The last stretch is often the hardest part but if you stay motivated I know you'll get through it!
  • Promax bars are the best if you are looking for a protien bar and not a snack bar. I dont know off the top of my head but I think they have something like 25g of protein. I like all the flavors, but especially cookies and cream.
  • update! sw: 121 this week: 119
  • Try low fat or non fat cottage cheese or ricotta with salsa on top. Santa Barbara mango salsa is super amazing... You can get it at costco or ralphs. Soups are pretty easy to make... You just boil a couple cups of water, throw in a boullion cube, cut up carrots, celery, onion, garlic, chicken and *boom* soup. Or a some…
  • gnarly. I agree the diet pills are pretty much a waste of money, but protein powder is not a bad idea. It's not just for body builders, although they do use it. ...in HUGE portions. The rest of us just need one or two servings a day to help us get in our protein requirements without unnecessary carbs and fat. Its also…
  • Yay pin-up girls! I'd like to join. Right now I'm 121. My goal weight is 115. Almost there! My goals for the next ten weeks: hit my goal and ease into maintenence post a before and after photo :) continue logging in and keeping up my food diary do some weight exercises
  • today was an exception but this oatmeal gets me out of bed every morning, it is so good. 1/2 cup quaker oats cooked with water 1 tbs sliced almonds 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 4-5 shakes of cinnamon the blueberries bring the temperature of the oatmeal down perfectly and sweeten just the right amount, the almonds are the…
  • How many grams is in the serving you mentioned? dried seaweed like thats is widely available here in korea but there is never nutrition info so im afraid to get it...
  • I've been experimenting with hersheys unsweetened cocoa powder in my shakes and oatmeal. One tbs is only 10 calories, its more than enough to make anything super chocolately, and its good for your circulation. Cocoa powder in oatmeal tastes just like cocoa crispies! Blend half a cup of plain yogurt, a heaping tsp (or more)…
  • Pop chips are amazing.. Im not sure if pita chips would be a good sub though because arent they kind of high calorie? I suggest apple chips and homemade spinach or kale chips. Good luck with your challenge!
  • Definitely chocolate, usually dark. I recently bought some cocoa powder and im thinking up fun ways to make everything chocolatey without the cocoa butter fat. I also really love fresh real cream. And ice cream but I seem to have developed an intolerance...O
  • It wouldn't hurt to have it after both workouts, even if you have less of it. Another option is to have a different kind of protein source after your other workout. The purpose of having protein after your workout is to give your body a different place to look for protein to restore its self with other than your muscles.…
  • How is everyones progress coming along? I kind of had a rebellious phase and ate some junk that didnt exactly help me along on my journey. I'm back on track though and happy about it. How are you all doing?
  • Yeah I'm definitely suffering with you. However, I'm hoping it keeps me nice and chill during the hot summer months. My boyfriend said its a normal side effect of calorie restriction. I think the body is trying to hold onto the calories that would normally be burned heating you up. It just means the calorie restriction is…
  • Don't be discouraged, you pretty much met your goal for the week! If you wanted to lose a little bit faster, you could decrease your calorie intake little by little, which might make it easier to adjust. For days that you want to eat a little more, do one or two you tube workout videos or something and boom! you can eat a…
  • In Korea height is measured by centimeters, and since they are smaller, they are more precise I think. There is no “half” and “quarter” and all that. And no complexes to go with it! I’m 165cm and I think that is considered average even though there are a lot of really tiny Korean girls. I’m really curious if there are any…
  • Oh thats funny. Coco is a good name because its familiar but uncommon. Most people don't forget it easily. Before I started MFP 127 was the lowest I could get (hence the 130sw). I actually thought it was impossible but amazingly enough, sticking with it and being accountable for logging everything has totally blasted this…
  • Wow!! I'm so excited by this response! And I'm really impressed with some of your goals. Let's do this! I kinda like this height because I don't need heels but if I wanna rock them (or if I'm with a tall friend) I won't feel like a giant and be staring at everyone's dandruff. I have to wear short inseams though :(…
  • Yeah, I've lost about five pounds since I posted. That's a little more than a pound a week. I think most of my progress is due to not drinking alcohol and cooking at home with whole foods a lot. I look for recipes on allrecipes.com and cut fat where ever possible. For example, I use about half as much oil as any recipe…
