I'm in!

I've been trying to get into running off and on for the past couple years. This definitely motivates me! I've signed up for my first triathlon and I'll keep all these things in mind as I start training for the 5K portion.

The kale works out wonderfully for the Skinny Green Tropical smoothie.

http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/02/skinny-green-tropical-smoothie.html#more I found this recipe recently and have completely fallen in love! I've been making it for breakfast everyday for the past week. There are other smoothies and shakes on this site that I want to try, but I have to get through the ingredients for this…

I'm glad I found this thread. I have done some lifting in the past and I definitely noticed how quickly I lost inches and began toning my muscles, but somehow I need every bit of encouragement to get back into it. Does anyone have any good routines for toning abs, waist and hips? I have to lose 2 inches by September and…

I'm not necessarily saying that you need to drink exactly 8 glasses of water per day because I do know that we get much of our water from the foods we eat. However, our culture is the most obese in the world and I attribute a lot of that to the fact that people aren't conscious of what they drink. I also think that…

Decaffeinated coffee still has caffeine in it, just lower amounts. It's also typically processed using benzene (a carcinogen). There is a process that uses CO2, but I don't know how widely used it is yet. I just wanted you to be aware of what you're putting into your body.
-
Thank you!! I completely agree that by documenting coffee and soda as water, people are making excuses not to drink water. I am extremely sensitive to caffein and it makes me urinate more frequently. Some may not experience it like I do, but it is a diuretic. If you are working out consistently, why not give your body what…

I don't agree with this. Yes, if she were eating a bunch of crap and only walking 24 minutes per day, the walking probably wouldn't help her lose weight. However, if she combines walking with a healthy diet, reducing the amount of calories to ensure caloric burn, then her doctor is flawed. Any activity is good activity…

I'm still only at 400 jumping jacks for the month, but I am gonna work my butt off this next week to catch up.
-
I'd love to do this. I missed the first week, but this will be great motivation!
-
300 done today, brining my total to 400! (in 2 days)
-
100 done
-
I'd like to join too! I'm only 500 behind. I can catch up by tomorrow, I think. Gonna start now.

I'm in the same boat. Your story sounds exactly like mine. I started grad school this fall and have gained 10 lbs (at least) after losing 33 over the summer. I'm trying to find the motivation to get back into working out and eating right. I'm finding it difficult to pack my lunch ahead of time which means I have to buy…

I got about 10 minutes in today. I'm going to try to up that by at least 10 minutes tomorrow.
-
This sounds awesome. I'm starting a little late, but I definitely think I can do this!
-
Can I join? I'm hoping I can start tomorrow. The weather is pretty stormy and I may not have access to the gym tomorrow (Labor Day and all), but I will do my best to get at least a half hour in.
-
I totally forgot what day it was yesterday. I'm on vacation again, but my weight for last week is 168. Down from 169 the week before. I'll be sure to check in at the end of this week. I really don't want to be deleted from the group. It's just been a little crazy lately.
-
Back from vacation, but still trying to find motivation. The fact that I gained only 1 pound after eating out so much this week is extremely uplifting! Time to get back on the wagon! I'm off to LA next weekend and I'd like to see a good change by Friday before I leave. Current Weight (As of today): 169 Challenge Goal…

I'm in again! This is exactly the kind of motivation I need right now! I will be on vacation until Monday, so I may not have an actual weight to announce on Sunday, but I will check in nevertheless. Current Weight (As of today): 168 Challenge Goal Weight (for Sept. 1st): 153 Weight Category: Reduce 6/12: **start of…

I've been struggling a little bit lately, and the only thing keeping me at this is giving myself goals and reasons to keep at it. You deserve to WANT something out of this whether you're losing weight at the rate you had hoped for or not. Let yourself be proud of the small things so that you can look back, over time, and…

I don't mind having hips and an *kitten*, but I would love to have less cellulite and more tone to my thighs (especially at my knees). I also really want to get back the flat stomach I had as a sophomore in high school! Looking really good in a tight, sexy skirt wouldn't be a bad thing either!
-
I'm in! I walk to and from work everyday. I'll just have to add an extra mile each day.
-
Nothing changed again this week. I think I slacked a little more that I thought I did. My weigh in for the week is 168
-
I drink very rarely these days. Maybe 2 drinks every 2 or 3 weeks. I've become quite the light-weight, which is awesome for my bank account!
-
Crap, I missed this week's weigh-in. That's ok though. It'll just be bigger for the final week! Just in case you want to know, my weight this week is 168.8
