Ha, don't worry. I'm calm for now....until I have my Ned Flanders moment.

Unfortunately you will never look like the person in the photo. You can only look like a slightly different version of yourself. Whole body transplant not yet poss!

This actually drives me insane whenever I see it. The only time I would ever have "1 serving" as the measurement is when I've created the recipe myself. But obvs that doesn't get added to the main database. But, yeah, this is one of my pet peeves. Worse than when someone mixes up loose and lose :explode:

Seriously? Seriously? I genuinely cannot tell if this is a joke.

Just FYI a major part of MFP is sharing your diary with friends. I'm surprised that you are surprised by this! ETA: I think the OP made a good decision. I've done the same myself. Put your own health first and no need to expose yourself to triggering stuff unnecessarily.

It's not actually poop. From what I understand it's liquid fat seeping out of your *kitten* because xenical stops your body absorbing fat from the food you eat. In any event, it's about as sexy as it sounds.

Good work making him your ex not current boyfriend. He sounds like a totally awful person.

Talk to them first. I wouldn't escalate to a superior unless their performance is affected or they are compromising someone's safety. Unless they ask for help when you talk to them it's probably best to stay out of it but let them know you are there if they need support.

My own measurement of fitness is totally arbitrary and based on how sprightly and energetic I am. Otherwise I tend to track against specific goals, e.g. can I walk up the 200 steps to uni without panting like a creep, can I run for 60 minutes without stopping, etc.

Starting with something gentle like yoga or pilates could be good for establishing some strength in very weak muscles. Alternatively hydrotherapy might be beneficial. Even if you don't get a physiotherapist who knows much about your specific condition, it could be good to work with someone who knows about exercising with…

You're a guy so your essential body fat is lower. A woman can't realistically get below about 10% without risking organ failure. Pauline Nordin reportedly maintains at that percentage so Google image her to get an idea of what that looks like on a woman. Men can get as low as 3-4% and your abs most definitely will "pop"…

I maintained 14/15% body fat for a while earlier in the year. At the time I was doing 1 hour of heavy cardio 6 days per week & heavy lifting 4 days. I was eating overall at a deficit but eating back all workout cals. Basically just lose weight but keep protein high & use your muscles frequently. That's what worked for me.…

The picture is actually really unappetising. I think it's the gloved fingers, but definitely wouldn't eat it. Not even tempted tbh.

I would agree with previous suggestions that you should get assistance with your drinking. To answer your question, alcohol has been a problem for me, but never specifically a problem in terms of weight loss. I gave up drinking entirely because I started to realise the harm it was doing to me and my relationships. I regret…

This is the sort of thing probably better suited to writing on your MFP blog rather than in the forums. You can find your blog at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/jened13

This is the best advice. Ultimately only worry about yourself. Monitor calorie intake and what you expend for 6 weeks, assess results. Revise input/output up or down to achieve results you prefer. Rinse and repeat.

People who claim to burn 1000 calories in one hour either: a) have a very high body mass or b) are not calculating their burns accurately. The best thing you can do is wear a HRM when you're exercising. Deduct your resting calories from that because they are already calculated for in MFP/TDEE method. Overall, do exercise…

Nothing wrong with that at all, of course. I think we should all strive to giver fewer f*cks about what other people think. Also I don't think the comments were malicious or anything, just the way they read was a bit...off. I sort of see it a bit like if someone had posted a thread asking for help with budgeting or…

When my body fat was 14% I still got my period regularly. It tends to stop around 12% in my experience.

Quoting just because these comments are perf.

Different people are more or less sensitive to comments from other people & social expectations. In addition, some people are more resilient when faced with mockery or abuse about their body. Also some people are particularly high consumers of media that contains this messaging in the first place. These reasons mainly…

I'm just confused as to how having kids ruins your posture. Can someone help me understand this?

Overwhelmed after reading this. No words just love & respect for you. Xxxx

I love that everyone does this. It makes me happy. I do it too!

If you were maintaining then you ate at TDEE not BMR. Eating at BMR results in a high speed of weight loss (depending on activity level above "comatose"). Overall, people seem to be confused by the obese v. thin hypothetical scenarios. You just need to know what is a safe calorie deficit for your body. Ignore what calorie…

I usually make them into chips and then slow bake them with a spray of oil and some salt or other seasoning. AMAZE. Theoretically you can do with them whatever you can do with a potato (I mean that with no creepy undertones btw!!)

You said you aren't weighing your food so that's most likely the reason why you aren't losing like you expected to. Start weighing everything that passes your lips and making sure you use the correct MFP database entries (there are lots of errors there; cross-check with Google). Try that for a few weeks and see what…

That's what everyone is saying. Sometimes nicer to say nothing if what you want to say hurts people. That's all. Okay now I'm really really leaving!

According to me and a large number of other people on this thread. In fact there are only one or two people defending the OP. So the majority are offended and called her out. If I knew I'd inadvertently upset lots of people I would apologise and learn what I'd done wrong so I could avoid it in future. But that's just me.…
