Google? It comes up pretty quick.

Sounds awesome, thanks!!

Only two of us, but we live in so-cal and our food is about $175 a week, including 1x restaurant meal per week. If we buy food-related items like we just bought new silverware and worked that in to our budget last week.

I do the same as above, although if we're eating before its cool enough to weigh the entire batch I will just weigh out the portions for me and my husband, then weigh the remainder and add it all together. Then log the amount I ate. As much work as this sounds, it's much easier than trying to divide everything up into 4x…

10 pounds to go! I started at 299.

I dontated all of mine except the dress I got married in so I can have a before/after same dress picture for myself. I've had to buy a new wardrobe twice now, but I didn't spend more than $200 each time. I buy most things at JC Penny, a few from Macys, or Overstock.com. Then again, I only need a few good quality pieces for…

Logging accurately and walking more.

Just ignore them and do what's right for you. If you want to improve your health, then do it for you, but if you do it because of someone else, it will probably be more difficult to stick with.

I started at 299 last June and here I am at 216.2 today (recorded 215 a week or so ago, but I weigh in daily and my weight fluctuates a lot! I expect I'll be back there soon.) Eat less, move more, walk a lot more, watch less TV, be less sedentary at work. I still can't believe I made it here so far.

Don't have one or know anyone who does, just wanted to wish you good luck on your surgery.

This is my profile pic, so sorry it's kinda small. I am halfway!

You can definitely do this! There are plenty of people on here with a lot of weight to lose. Just start simple by logging your food every day, all the time. Measure with a per-gram food scale, and track your food. Maybe get a pedometer and try to walk a little more often. I've lost 82 lbs in the last year, and I haven't…

I much prefer building recipes from the app as you can edit the ingredients much easier.

Don't diet. Just track your food, stay in your calories, and you'll lose weight. Eat more fruits and veggies to get in your fiber and stay full, and eat plenty of protien.

Om nom nom you all give me such awesome ideas for future meals! Drooling over that 'El fuerte' Acg!!

I use it but only because I know I will meet these goals anyway. So it's a nice way to have some extra pocket change :)

Can't really help you with sweet but no carbs. I like plain greek yogurt with a tablespoon of peanut butter and some honey mixed in.

84 lbs! So the World's largest ball of tape plus an ostrich egg :D :drinker:

I work 10 hour days from 13:30 to 23:30. On work days I don't eat until I take lunch at 18:00. IF 16:8 I guess. I eat lunch, then a small meal before I get off work, then dinner when I get home before I go to bed. Then I don't go to bed hungry and I don't eat everything in the house when I get home, so I usually end my…

I would adjust to your schedule. What time do you wake up, what time do you go to bed, is this a permanent schedule change or just temporary? Are you hungry in the morning, or more at night? I save most of my calories for when I get home on days that I work. I don't eat until after 6 pm (I wake up around 11 am, go to bed…

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll put it on my to try list. :drinker:

QFT.. that's a lot of restrictions you have on yourself OP. The only thing I try not to do is buy chips often because it's really easy for me to eat a whole large bag in a few days. I make popcorn instead and that works for me. Everything else.. just weigh and log..

1 - Not usually. We are night owls, and usually eat lunch around 2 or 3, usually don't eat breakfast at all. Sometimes we will make a special date out for it, but very rarely. 2 - 80 lbs since I started last June 3 - Nope. Meal timing doesn't matter. I fast until 6 pm on days I work and then eat from 6 pm to 2 am, usually…

OP, I think its time to talk to a lawyer about your breaks, maybe get some extra compensation out of it. Don't let any employer take advantage of you, you should take your legally mandated breaks, or go work somewhere where you will get them. As for your question, like others said, I think it's just a result of gravity.

I am halfway to my goal, I got my Withings pulse in July of last year and since then have aimed for 12,000 steps a day. Currently I've upped that to a minimum of 13,000. If I take a 10 minute walk every hour, I can easily meet my goal. It's just part of my routine to get up and walk as much as possible now!

Thanks all! I will have to give these a try. Appreciate the help! :drinker:

This! My husband was about 225 when I started in on this journey, and I was 299. He's just under 6' and I'm 5'6-7 (depending on the dr's office apparently..) so I've always felt weird and uncomfortable being so huge compared to him. But I love him so I tried not to make a big deal out of it and act like it never mattered.…
