OP: have you tried a percentage off of your burns from the BMF instead of a static number? Sounds about right, on exercise and workdays I burnup to 2700 - 3000, on a weekend and workout day Usually around 2400-2500.

I've been wearing a bodymedia fit for a long time, which calculates my TDEE for me (including exercise cals). I also do TDEE- 20 to 25%, and it works for me slowly but surely.
