  • I'm just recently giving this a try myself. Part of my overeating is my plain love for food. I love it. I want to eat all the foods. LOL. I'm hoping this helps eating less be a little easier on me. Plus at work (I'm a medical assistant so i work in a hospital) I can't snack easily so I get to my lunch break and all I want…
  • I just ordrered a flex so I can't review that yet but I wore a bodymedia fit for most of a year and it didn't help me lose weight even though I would eat a deficit of it's crazy high burns. It *did*, however, teach me how to eat at maintenance! The fact that i didn't lose weight with it could have been for many reasons-…
  • ridiculous things. You wouldn't burn many more calories by being hotter and sweating more, you'd just lose more water weight which would be replaced when you drink more water!
  • Yep it'll DEFINITELY be more than $3000. I work with ENT surgeons in a clinic. You should ask one of them (whoever you like best, even if it takes a few more opinions to find one you like) to battle your insurance with you. A functional septorhinoplasty IS a thing. Are you congested from it? You said one nostril has…
  • depends on my energy level. If i don't have the energy, I don't have the energy. TOM or no TOM. Just take a break if you need it, there's no reason to push yourself through it, 5 days won't make a big difference in fitness.
  • I also agree having it on my arm for work wasn't too big a deal, people just thought it was awesome and asked lots of questions. I did however hate having it on my arm for social activities, and this ultimately is why I stopped wearing it. I figured a few months of data was plenty and was a large enough window to have an…
  • the bodymedia's useless without paying the fee for the activity manager. You also can't reference back to the data after you cancel your subscription, so I recorded my burns, etc in an excel file.
  • well, your title and question don't quite match up- the bodymedia isn't a heart rate monitor. It does a million things and is awesome, but it doesn't use heart rate to get the answers. I own both the bodymedia and an FT40. I wore bodymedia for a long time and it helped me understand my calorie burn averages, highly…
  • i'd up your activity to lightly active! You'd be surprised how much you can burn just standing instead of sitting- I used to wear a bodymedia fit and it always shocked me. Changing it to lightly active should be perfect.
  • hey ladies!! I disappeared for a bit there, sorry! I've officially finished 90 days of turbofire- I posted a pic! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/979632-90-day-pics?page=1
  • I was supposed to do fire 55ez today but I ended up only getting through half of it! I was mentally and physically tired- long week- and found myself PUSHING through it, miserable, so I stopped after a half hour, then did a half hour of yoga and enjoyed that part. Guess my body wasn't havin' much cardio today! Oh well,…
  • Week 11 Day 4: Hiit 30 (instead of hiit 25) and tone 30, yay! I just did hiit 25 on Tues so I didnt want to do it again  This stuff's getting easier! My HR never goes above 161 anymore during HIIT. During the sculpt and tone it hovers between 115- 135 and regular fire classes it ranges from 130-155. Interesting.…
  • ok, this gokaleo (I follow her on facebook, highly recommended. she's amazing!) blog post has my brain a' thinkin' maybe it's time to increase calories and keep up TF strength/ cardio/ running and see if my body composition changes. It's still hard in my little scale focused brain to accept that 145ish may be where my body…
  • Hey girls! I've been MIA, sorry  I'm in week 11 day 3, so today's my rest day. Coincidentally I'm scheduled to work OT today to cover a coworker's shift that's on vacation so that works out well!! I never thought I'd say it, but i'm finding myself more and more not wanting to do TF. OH NO! Enthusiasm fading!! I…
  • wow killer!! I was supposed to do HIIT 20 today but I wanted a bit more cardio since I took an unscheduled extra rest day yesterday, so today I did HIIT 30 and Sculpt 30! I burned total 409 calories, woohoo! What a great workout  my goal is to not have a weekday rest day this week since I took an extra rest day on…
  • look at that shrinking belly and booty!! Nice work! And congrats on getting closer to being off your BP meds! What a huge accomplishment!
  • dym- OMG YES!!! a better sports bra makes a huge difference. I was a 36DD last year and have gone down to a 36D with TF. I hope the shrink a little more! I'd love to be a C cup again. I've found my favorite sports bra to be the VSX victoria's secret sports line. Overpriced, yes, but they're the best!
  • ive had similar experience to butterfly, I've also never been a runner or exerciser (until 2 years ago) and started running 2 to 3 times a week and got up to where I could go a few miles without stopping, but the weather got cold and wet and I found out I'm NOT a cold weather runner, so I stopped altogether and wasn't…
  • your stomach looks amazing!
  • Week 9 day 4- HIIT 25 (supposed to be 15. Hate that one. too short.) and Tone 30. WOOHOO! I forgot how much I love HIIT 25! It's the perfect length and it's super challenging. Love it!!
  • Fire 45/ stretch 10 done! Love that one
  • Dym- I hate the recovery week too!!! LOL. 45ez is tough, I don't get why it's in recovery week three times. Also I didn't read you initial post earlier this week until yesterday and I am happy in a weird way that someone else isn't losing mad weight from TF! LOL. Not to mean I'm glad you're not losing fast, just that I'm…
  • Hey where is everybody? Unscheduled extra rest day for me  oh well. The day just got away from me. Work was super busy, didn't get home til after 6, was starving and ate dinner. Now I need to relax. I'm not a night exerciser. I go to bed at 10, so I don't like to workout after 630-7. Gets me to hyped up.
  • Thanks ladies!! Unfortunately in my 60 day pics I didn't notice many changes- not as dramatic as the first month. I think my body likes the HIIT workouts, so I'm glad to get back to them! The second month it was all cardio fire workouts with 2 strength workouts a week- now int he 3rd month it's HIIT three times a week with…
  • moll- I'd try raisin your calories by100 a day and see how you do. Remember your body usually takes a few weeks to adjust to any change though, so you may not know right away.
  • Week 9 Day 1 done! It was supposed to be HIIT 15 but i really didn't like that one. It's too itty bitty. I did HIIT 20 and Sculpt 30 -with 8 lb weights the whole thing, yay me! Every other time I've done it I had to switch to 5lb weights for some of them because my arms felt like they'd fall off. Glad I'm getting…
  • I just bought a 2010 mazda3 a year ago and love it! Haven't had any issues with it besides routine care and it's not complex to drive. Sporty enough your BF will like it. Go mazda!
  • @april- once you get over the first week, you'll love i!! It took a good week for it to adjust to my movements/activities (meaning the first week it'll show burns much higher than usual). After that, personally, I'd take a 10% margin of error off my daily burns, average them out and eat a percentage deficit off of my…
