Yes only up by only 10% each week...I am training for a 10 miler in May and my longs are up to 6-7 miles (I've run 5 HM's and 1 full) Hal and Runner's World are great sources. Good luck and pay attention to how you feel to avoid injury!!

a tried and true HRM the Garmin 405CX. It uses your heart rate to calculate calories burned. I just turn the GPS off and do a simple workout when I’m not running outside to still use the calorie thingy. If you really want to ramp things up, run intervals and alternate days with circuits that incorporate strength training with HIT's like jumping jacks and squat thrusts. That is when I really starting seeing the fat melt! And don't forget to take rest days, they are just as important!

11 year Treadmill veteran here...here's what I believe and follow. Incline changes throughout=Hills Speed Changes=Intervals Change both speed and incline=to me, it is still hills When I run outside up a hill, I go slower and when I go down hil, I go faster; but it is still a hill workout!
