I've got 9 more lbs to lose. After that I might want to lose 5 more but it all depends on how I look and how realistic an extra 5 lbs would be to maintain. This morning I weighed in at 119.4 lbs (still, lol). Thanks for starting this lil' club! ~ Joanna

I used a HRM and just input my own exercise of "Couch to 5K" and how many calories my heart rate monitor says I burned. Otherwise it can be extremely hard to gage. I find my treadmill doesn't give me a correct read out (too low) while the elliptical machine gives me one that is too high compared to what I actually burn.…

As a little 4 ft 11in lady I burn 500/day. It makes me sad when a grown man can do just as much as me (aka my boyfriend) and double the calorie burn). Your small lady friends might be burning more than you give them credit for. :wink:

I personally cannot afford it. All the conflicting information does get to be quite mind boggling. I'm constantly reading articles that conflict and I don't know who to believe. Envisioning your scale w/ a sticky note screaming "NO" at you makes me giggle. My mother-in-law to be has had the same problem. I've encouraged her to do body measurements instead.

In the past I've eaten and then worked them off on a consistent basis. It's worked rather well for me. Since I'm off school for the time being I'll be working out sooner and eating back my deficit calories. It's the same difference in the end. Have you talked to your boyfriend about no longer ordering out? Is he supportive of your losing weight? Why not try popping a healthier low-calorie frozen pizza into the oven? You should seriously try the Couch to 5K workout plan. It'll take you from what you spent today doing to eventually running 30 minutes straight (or 5K depending on your speed). I'm 4 ft 11 in, small framed. My goal for the time being is 111ish. But once I reach that I might lower it for a smaller BMI. Anything under 92 lbs though is underweight. I was always 100 lbs in high school so getting down to that weight would feel good. :)
