The Fitbit does NOT monitor heart rate...you could sit for an hour and lift weights and it wouldn't register any EXTRA calorie burn. My favorite part about the Fitbit is its ability to track my sleep. But to get an accurate measure of what you are burning if you are doing more than walking/running/jogging/ jumping/etc then…

I think you did great...and comparing yourself to someone else will usually make you feel worse...guys usually burn more cals in a shorter time than us gals anyways...sounds like you are getting healthier and to get your heart rate up more changing up what you are doing is a great idea...maybe do weights before your…

Unless the equipment takes into account your weight/age then it is not accurate and I find MFP is usually too high but not by too much...until you can get a HRM I would go by the MFP and maybe take off a bit (maybe 50-100 cal)

try nuts...any fat they have is a healthy fat...or low fat cheeses...also beans
-
every so often its ok just try not to do it regularly or more than 2 days in a row and you should be ok

I just turned 34 and have lost 37 so far and I know ppl who are much older losing weight. When someone says that they are just making excuses for themselves or are jealous. You WILL prove her wrong. And I like the "no bigger jeans" :) that would mean that I am giving in or giving up and NO WAY will I let myself do that.

Lets say a 225lb person has 30% body fat that would equal 67.5lbs of body fat.... then loses 20 lbs and now has 32% body fat which now equals 65.6lbs of body fat...30% of 225 is more than 32% of 205...so you havent gained any fat...your total mass has gone down so a bigger percentage does not always equal more

I am 37lbs down in my quest to lose 120-140lbs. Things that have helped me are: upping water intake, lowering sodium intake, eating less processed foods, eating enough calories (most days), and cardio...walking(mostly), biking, mowing lawn, and occasionally other cardio. You can add me if you want.

bump great advice :)

I agree with everyone else...I tried some things but I feel better without it

definitely the KINECT but you do have to have enough room for it...for optimal performance you need to have a cleared area in front of the tv/kinect that is 6-9 feet...the system cannot detect you if you are too close, too far back and too far left/right...it will not work well in a smaller space....the best feature is NO…

personally I would worry a little less about the calories and a lot more about the sodium...most Chinese food places are extremely high in sodium which is extremely bad for your heart
-
sounds good except the amount of sodium...600mg of sodium just in the veggie sausage...too much for one breakfast burrito for me
-
I have heard that 2 days is ok but the 3rd is when your metabolism will drop if you dont up your cals
-
to be healthy while losing you should not have a daily deficit of more than 1000 calories on a regular basis (occasionally is ok) you have to decide what is more important to you...losing the weight faster and risk gaining it back more easily or lose slowly and be healthy and better equipped to maintain the loss.
-
Dont forget that MFP already figures in a deficit of 500 cal if you have your goal set to lose 1 lb per week. I try not to go more than a total deficit of 1000 cal per day on a regular basis (occasionally going over or under is a good thing to keep your body guessing) You need to fuel your body if you want it to work for…

if you are sure that your calories in and burned are fairly accurate and if you have your mfp goal set to lose 1lb/wk then you can let your remaining calories get to as many as 500 (for a total deficit of 1000 for the day) you will be fine even if you let it go more than that every once in a while (like once a month or…

I dont have the biggest loser for kinect but I do have the your shape fitness for kinect but I dont even go by what that says cuz its not entirely accurate (in the "learning new moves" it only calculates calories when you are in sync with the trainer even if it takes you many many minutes to get in sync) I use a heart rate…

if the pkg says its optional then it most likely isn't included in the nutrition information
-
so what kind of unappetizing chemicals did they add to it when they removed the fat so it would still taste good?
-
try a bigger more fiber/complex carb filled breakfast, lunch, snacks to fuel your body better for longer on those days

being with my husband and children and spreading Gods word to anyone and everyone who will listen:happy: :flowerforyou:

Youre welcome

the Weight Watchers one uses an electrical current to detect the %s...and no you dont feel it
-
I have the Weight Watchers by Conair from Kmart it was $35. Weight only mode or Body Analysis Monitor tracks weight, body fat %, body water %, bone mass %, and BMI...stores up to 10 users:height, age, sex. Has been very accurate for me.…
