There's a lot of people on this stream...do you want to make us a group? Let me know and I'll set it up.

What about spinning. Use the mileage posted on the bike?

BTW-Here's the link to the IF study on mice: http://www.cell.com/cell-metabolism/fulltext/S1550-4131(14)00498-7 Wonder when they will do a study on people. Seems to be enough anecdotal evidence...from this group alone...to warrant one. I have noticed that when I have the discipline to maintain a 16:8 regimen, I have had…

And I thought I had problems. I had a similar problem with snakes. Short story...we found 87 in our basement!

Am suspending 5:2, whole30, exercise until this F(*king cold goes away! Same symptoms as Snap

Ended up getting a Felt V85. Very clean, relatively light (22.1lbs) even with heavy wheels and handle bars/stem. Came with 28s...can get up to 38s. So 2 questions: 1. Any suggestions on tires, or are slick 28s ok for now? 2. Any suggestions on wheel upgrades

Light exercise only...nothing anaerobic. I did a 5k on fast day...big mistake...nothing to fuel you.

Finished my fast day yesterday...no issues. Started today with Starbuck's skinny peppermint mocha!! Have a great day everybody.

There is a 5:2 Group. It's here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/100058-5-2-fasting

Me too! After a totally decadent weekend of eating a bunch of S*&t, will be spending the week in penance! Back to Whole30 for the next 7 days.

Congrats on your decision. I just finished Whole30 last Friday. Bottom line-dropped 17 lbs. Feel much better...no more sugar "hangovers." So how's it going so far?

I just finished Whole30 last week. The hardest part was no milk or grains or legumes, but as you said, it's only 30 days. Hardest part is exercise. Because your carbs are reduced, at least mine were, high intensity is difficult. So I just dialed it back and I was fine. My biggest challenge was sugar. If it's sweet, I'll…

Thanks. Based on what you are saying, the fast day should not immediately follow a HIIT day, That said, the HIIT day could immediately follow a fast day. In a 7 day cycle with 2 HIIT days, that would have to occur at least once.
-
Fast day for me as well. Usually on Tues., but since I have tomorrow off, and it's suppose to be our last day of warm, I'm planning on doing a long ride, so will need the calories.
-
Finished my last day of Whole30 yesterday. I lost 17 lbs since October 7th. The combination of Whole30 and 5:2, for me at least, has been a complete success. I am going to keep doing 5:2 until I get to the wt I want to be at. May cycle back to Whole30 again or do a Whole7 variant. Will also try and stick to an 8:16

Just finished week 4 and my second fast of the week. Tomorrow is my last day of Whole30 as well. Has gone very well, despite being surrounded by a ton of really good food this week. Think I may take a break from the regimen for a while to see what happens. Will probably do at least one fast. Not sure what the total wt loss…

Confusing to me too. Sounds like the period before and after the fast without food. I have enough trouble sticking to my fast calories. I try to stop eating at 2000 the night before and the night of my fast, and don't really care what time I start eating the next day.
-
I am, it's my 2nd day this week.
-
Thanks veloman21. The bikes you mention are on my list as is the Fuji, Giant Anyroad, and Raleigh. Lots to choose from.
-
You might want to try doing an 8:16 on you NFDs. It forces you to wait until later in the day to eat. Another thing that helps me is that I'm doing Whole30 which, as I've said on other posts, forces my to stay away from crappy food on my NFDs

All these comments about being in the now, being present, thinking in terms of hours...sounds like a 12 step program! The most important thing is right now and the choices you make right now. Once you do something, it's done...you can't take it back. You can change, so you don't do it, or do do it again, but you can't undo…
